Beautiful Inn. Just on the edge of town so that we could walk to town, but just outside so that we had lovely views of water and field. The hosts were wonderful in offering advice as to where to go. The breakfasts were awesome, lovely gardens, comfortable beds. The house itself is wonderful complete with interesting furnishings. The only problem...

This was a perfectly acceptable B and B, spotlessly clean friendly host, but let down by the breakfast with cheap packet jam, supermarket bread and inferior orange juice - not what we had expected from our previous experience of Hidden Ireland.

While in Kenmare, my husband and I stayed at the lovely Sallyport House for 2 nights. We stayed in a spacious, spotlessly clean king room with incredible views of the Kenmare Bay and the beautiful Sallyport gardens. Our bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge. John and Jennie are extremely gracious hosts with great knowledge of the area....

Nice people, great food and comfortable rooms. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Suggested we take the ring of beara drive and we are glad we did. Absolutely breathtaking views. Great little town for shopping and dining. We had planned on doing some laundry but it was very busy. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here our first night in Ireland. It was beautiful, quiet, clean, comfortable, a close walk into town, and the owner was very nice and accommodating. Also, the breakfast. Stay here just for the breakfast. It was the best breakfast I've ever had. I lust after the eggs and smoked salmon. This place would get five stars for the...

This b & b is warmly welcoming, spotlessly clean, and perfectly located. The rooms are extremely comfortable. The five minute stroll to the restaurants and shops of the center of town is through beautiful gardens (and also offers a side detour path along the lake that is through the forest along the lake that is well worth while). For tourists...

Jeanie is an exceptional host with a warm, inviting nature. The decor of the home is beautiful and comfortable. We have never slept so well on vacation. The breakfast was delicious, fresh and with a tremendous selection. Kenmare is beautiful and Sallyport's location is ideal: steps away from town but still quiet and relaxing. We will definitely go back!

My husband and I spent a week at The Sallyport House during our honeymoon in June, and I can’t begin to explain how truly wonderful it was. Our room was lovely and comfortable, with beautiful antique furnishings, a four poster bed, and views of the backyard. The breakfast they provide every morning is exceptional, with many options including smoked Kenmare...

Room 6 on the second floor has a wonderful view of the water. The room was small but well-appointed. It was clean and neat. The common rooms in the house were very nice. We found the living room to be very comfortable. We used it in the evening for reading and for using our iPads. All of the rooms are...

Stayed one evening at the Sallyport. It was an elegant bed and breakfast. The rooms were exquisite. The hosts were great and provided us with a travel plan which afforded us a drive around the Ring of Kerry on our way to Ennistymon. The breakfast was superb and they offered a number of options beyond the full Irish breakfast. A...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Sallyport House stands on the shores of the Kenmare River, in the far south of County Kerry, is known to those in the locality. It is a delightful Edwardian house in a really spectacular location, right on the edge of the harbor, surrounded by parkland and trees, and by Reenagross Woodland Park, yet still just minutes away from the center of busy Kenmare town, the most south-easterly point on the renowned Ring of Kerry. ... more   less
