we arrived in Ireland on a Thursday and made no plans for each nite until we found a spot we wanted to stay. On this Tuesday, we were near Ballyfreitter and stopped at a pottery business near by. The person recommended An Speice and we rang them up and stopped shorty. The place is perfect for a BB. The room...

An Spéice is run by a kind, funny, thoughtful woman named Alice, who welcomed me into her home with great hospitality. There was no bus on the day I came to that far west end of Corca Dhúibhne, so Alice picked me up in Dingle town and drove me to Ballyferriter. She fed all her guests wonderful big breakfasts, made...

When I first contacted Alice about accommodation at An Speice she tempted us in with the promise of tea, scones and a mountain view upon arrival - needless to say we were sold! Expectations and anticipations were high, but Alice met them all with ease. Shortly aftr arriving we were invited into a warm, sunlit tearoom with spectacular views of...

My husband, 13-yr-old son, and I stayed in this lovely B&B while walking the Dingle Way. Alice was so welcoming, and we felt very well cared for and comfortable during our stay. We had been travelling in France before our trip to Ireland, and were very thankful for Alice's kind offer to do some laundry for us. We spent an...

Alice was incredible! The B&B is perfect, clean, and beautiful. Alice was helpful, considerate and generous! She help me out by running a small load of laundry for me , something that I consider to be an imposition , and she did it with charm . I would recommend this place and Alice to everyone!

This was the second time we had stayed with Alice while hiking the Dingle Peninsula, and we were glad to be back; she is an excellent hostess. We were welcomed with tea and biscuits before being shown to our clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was good, with the usual Irish choices plus kippers, which were excellent! We were able to...

This is an immaculate B&B located on the outskirts of Ballyferriter about 12 km from Dingle. It is located in about the middle of the Dingle Loop. The 4 rooms are small but very nice. There is a lounge and a sun room if you need to spread out or mingle with other guests. Breakfast is excellent and made to...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights while walking the Dingle Way. Alice, the innkeeper, is an absolute gem and a joy to be around. Her home is impeccable, warm, and inviting. She makes a delicious breakfast, serves afternoon tea and scones and makes sure you know where to get dinner in town, which is a 5 minute...
