I really can't put into sufficient words how much we enjoyed staying at Pax. This is a beautiful house with a gorgeous view of Dingle Bay. Breakfast was delicious and included some of the best food we had in Ireland (which is truly saying something). Our room was large and comfortable with a view of the bay. The bathroom was...

I usually try and maintain some form of decorum when I write reviews. Give credit where due, find something to critique, etc. The problem with writing a review of John's lovely guesthouse is that there just isn't a thing to critique! Read the reviews, look at the pictures, and understand that they are all spot on! It really is that...

Not sure that I can contribute any more to the wonderful comments about John and his hotel. Without any doubt, this is one of the best experiences I have had with an accommodation. John's exceptional standards transcends to everything, from the magnificent breakfasts to the cozy and clean rooms. I highly recommend this place to anyone interested in escaping stress...

Welcoming comfortable place. We loved the breakfast, the quality and presentation. The views from the breakfast room and the living room to the bay are breathtaking. Lovely decoration, unique art pieces everywhere.

John and the superb staff at Pax House made us feel like family! the rooms and beds were comfortable and relaxing. This is where I learned I like stewed prunes and poached eggs! My husband doesn't drink warm tea. John learned this upon our arrival in a brief conversation. We assumed he would just have to adjust as he had...

Again, TripAdvisor steered us right. We had a fabulous stay at Pax House. The view from the main floor is exceptional. The house is beautifully decorated, but very comfortable. John obviously loves the area and his enthusiasm is contagious. He gave us a booklet to guide our Slea Head drive that was extremely helpful. Our room was well designed, very...

John (the proprietor of Pax House) is a perfectionist, and it shows in every little detail of comfort that makes Pax House stand out from the rest. The public areas are beautifully decorated in calm shades, with artwork collected on John's travels around the world. Look out for the painting of the little boy in wellie boots in the lounge,...

I could rave about Pax House all day. I'm already plotting how to move there and live there forever. From initial emails John was friendly and helpful. He gave us trip planning recommendations and remembered the names of our party upon arrival. The building and views of the bay and ocean are stunning and the porch and sitting rooms are...

First of all, believe the photographs on the website. The view is stunning and, as the light changes throughout the day, a different beauty is revealed to enjoy. We stayed in the Snug Bedroom, which was lovely. Each day we enjoyed fresh flowers in our room, and each evening upon our return to our room, we found a special treat...

I have taken to not posting many reviews over the last few years unless I find a place that is exceptional. There are a lot of great places out there and since we can't stay in them all it is hard to compare but every so often you find a place that is truly extraordinary and stands above the crowd....
