Foxford may be a little further north than many US tourist travel when visiting Ireland, but it's a great place. The Foxford Lodge serves an excellent breakfast. Try the smoked salmon! Harry teaches watercolor painting and can also arrange fishing. He took me fishing for my birthday! There is a mill to tour and other great sites nearby. It's a...

Myself, my husband and my parents visited on the dates stated and it was fantastic! As I write this review I'm eating some of Brigid's homemade fruit soda bread which I brought home. She is a fabulous cook and the breakfasts were outstanding. I had the smoked salmon and the works and neither disappointed. My favourite was the smoked salmon...

Just like to thank Brigid for looking after us so well on Sunday night. We picked the lodge for our last night of three in the Galway area as it was convenient for Knock Airport. We were met with a warm welcome and home made scones/jam and a pot of tea. We asked Brigid advise for somewhere to eat that...

The reason for my stay was a painting holiday in the adjacent studio. I travelled over from Leicestershire, England, meeting up with two friends, and making some new ones. The tuition provided on watercolour painting by the proprietor Harry Feeney was brilliant, I learned a great deal and have come home with several beautiful paintings. The accommodation was great. 12 of us bikers traveled again to stay with Harry and his lovely wife in the Foxford Lodge and yet again our stay was brilliant. The breakfast each morning was class and set us up for the day on the Motorbikes. Truly a great place to stay in Mayo.

We spent two nights here for the second year in a row. Tea and coffee on arrival and homemade cakes. The rooms are spotless and the lodge is in an ideal location. Genuinely there is nothing bad I can say about it.
