As a bi monthly visitor to Ballina, we regularly visit the Ocean Sands. The food is excellent, a sensible price for Irish standards and pleasant staff usually!! Not on our recent visit. We always request a table over looking the sea. On this visit children and adults kept walking through this part of the restaurant to access the fire escape,...

Second time to eat here. First time was about 10 years ago and the food was good then. Went with work colleagues on a Monday evening. I could have picked everything on the menu, the dishes were so well described. I had the potato skins to start which were delicious and the seabass for the main which was light and...

Have no hesitation in recommending the Ocean Sands Hotel. We stayed in one of the apartments and the views, from the upstairs living area, were breath-taking. Although six of us shared the apartment, there was plenty of space with a huge, open plan living/dining area and three double bedrooms (one of which had bunk beds) downstairs. No problems experienced at...

This place is very good generally. We have eaten here many times. Unfortunately, This is the 3rd and last time we'll order the steak! They simply do not understand what a rare steak is! I usually ask for med rare and on the other occasions received what would be best described as well done! Sent it back only to receive...

This hotel is in a lovely location. Parking & check in were easy, room was fine but lacking any wow factor. TV looks ancient & very small. Clean & comfy beds. Dined in the restaurant. Food was ok, service was good. Staff are the high point of this hotel, each one we encountered were very helpful & friendly. Breakfast was...

Lovely hotel situated right on the beach in Enniscrone, fantastic views. Staff extremely helpful & friendly couldn't do enough for us. We were upgraded to the presidential suite which was a massive surprise, absolutely delighted. It's a Huge room with our own private balcony looking out over the beach which is stunning. Food is really good. Will definitely be returning....

We were there for a friends wedding and stayed for the weekend. Amaizing location, just in front of a wonderful long beach, great for a walk. Spacious and confortable rooms (we choose a family room) and good breakfast ( not great variety but enough). We went with our little girls aged 2 and 4 years, they loved the pebbles area...

Stopped into Enniscrone to The Ocean Sands for lunch on our way for a weekend away. I had their Club Sandwhich with their GF read and my better half went for the Salmon as it was Good Friday ........ Both dishes were very very good. Service and staff are great and the price was reasonable. Would highly recommend

Having frequently visited The Ocean Sands Hotel in the past and always been pleased with the food and service I was horrified when my five year old was served raw chicken goujons. Thankfully we spotted the raw meat before she ate any but the staffs response was very disappointing. I'm sorry to say that I won't be returning there again.
