Stayed one night in Lough Key B&B. Beautiful house, full of history, lovely gardens. Frances made you most welcome, remembering everyone's first name. We stayed in the 'Red room', fab 4 poster very comfortable bed. Adjoining bathroom was unique. Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had, silver service, freshly squeezed orange juice, home made bread etc, all...

Had a lovely few days at Lough Key house, Frances has made this a very special place to stay. A boutique B&B that can cater for families in Style. Every room has been tastefully finished. Excellent location right next door to Lough Key forest park.

I loved Lough Key House. It more than lived up to my expectation. Best breakfast I've ever had in a BandB. The accommodation was very comfortable and Frances really wants to make her guests' experience perfect. Just so well done.

As part of a large group, we stayed in Lough Key House during March 2017. It was an absolutely fantastic experience and thanks to Frances for her warmth, hospitality and craic. The rooms are period style, beautifully decorated with elegant furnishings including four poster beds which were very comfortable. Frances' attention to detail is evident right throughout the house and...

A large group of us stayed here for a friends birthday and all had a fantastic time. The house itself is stunning, and huge! We had it all to ourselves as there were 12 of us so we were able to have a nosy round all of the rooms. They were all beautiful. However lovely the house is, what made...

Amazing! is the only word I an use to describe Lough Key House. It is an exceptional place to stay. From my initial email discussions with Frances to our sad departure we had an excellent experience. On arrival, Frances greeted us at the door and showed the drawing room, where we could sit, read, play the piano/guitars, watch television or...avail...

Title says it all. Worth driving to it just for the relaxing stay. Wished we had more time to stay with the Bean an Ti, Francis. A great place for a relaxing stay with a book. No need to bring your own book, shelves full. The breakfast is so tasty with homemade bread and jam. Will be back.

We were stunned by this beautiful place. My sister had booked it for us and not said much about it, wanting it to be a surprise, not even the name, so I hadn't read about it beforehand and was expecting a good, normal B and B for the price. Frances has done an amazing job inside and out. We loved...

This delightful B and B represents the epitome of irish hospitality. The country house atmosphere and surrounding farm allow the visitor to really feel they are getting away from it all. The breakfast options are absolutely delicious and the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. Not to mention the superb location - right next to lough key forest and close to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Lough Key House is a small but pleasing Georgian period house located next to the main entrance of the beautiful Lough Key Forest Park. It has 6 bedrooms in total: 3 rather grand & 3 more modest in the back of the house. All for the enjoyment of guests and also provides a sumptuous feast as breakfast: a generous buffet of fruits and cereals as well as fresh herb omelettes or eggs scrambled with smoked salmon. It is beautifully decorated and furnished and the welcome is genuinely as warm as the open fires. ... more   less
