We visited this hotel just before Easter. This hotel really is warm, friendly and inviting with lots of history to the family owned establishment. Nothing was too much trouble, lovely entertainment from original trad band, free in the hotel bar and most of the band worked or had some connection with the hotel. Very close knit community. Breakfast was also lovely,...

Great location and wonderful staff! My suitcase was fixed by a wonderful member of the staff and I was grateful! The farmer's market the next morning was such a treat! Great produce from local farmers and a fish monger too.

We had the most brilliant time in Clonakilty and couldn't have enjoyed our time in O'Donovan's more. Fascinating to read about the history of the hotel and local heroes and events and in the excellent range of books in the cosy sitting rooms on the first and second floors. The whole atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming.

This hotel has a 127+ year history with generations of one family running the place! Dena, Tom and Craig treated us like family and were so friendly helping us navigate our way around...

Cosy, warm, comfortable ,friendly and well located in the middle of town. We spent just one night yet experienced the warm welcome and kindness of the staff. Anyone visiting West Cork could not do better than a stay at this family hotel.

We stayed here on the 4th of December as we were heading to a gig in de Barras. The location is great, the room was comfortable, plenty of parking available and the staff are lovely. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Had a great stay. Loved the little library. Food was good and the rooms were clean. Room service breakfast was great after a night out. Only downside was the beds were a little on the hard side for us. Would stay again.
