Blindgate was a great place to base our short stay in Kinsale. The room was modern, spacious, and comfortable, and we were only a short walk to all of the restaurants and bars downtown. A fabulous breakfast got us off to a perfect day of touring the town. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our one night stay at the Blindgate House and Maeve could not have been nicer or more helpful! The location is just a short walk up the hill from downtown but far enough to be more peaceful. The room was large and very nice...and exceptionally clean! Breakfast was excellent and overall an exceptional value. Would definitely recommend.

We wanted to stay here for 2 nights while visiting Kinsale, but we were having problems faxing our information. After quick email, Maeve called us direct for credit card number. Easy! We had a very nice room, and the staff was very helpful, helping us with dinner reservations, directions, suggestions, etc. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from downtown,...

I actually live in Kinsale myself but due to a dinner party in our family home my sister and I had to move out for the night to accommodate relatives. After hearing great reviews about Blindgate House we decided to treat ourselves. And what a treat it was. The room, the ambiance and THE BREAKFAST was amazing. Will definitely return!

The property was very nice, clean and well kept. Maeve not only runs her house well, but offers lots of choices for breakfast and all very tasty. We liked the location as it was a short walk and the perfect distance to town.

We spent two nights with Maeve at Blindgate House. It was fabulous to leave the car in the carpark and explore the town, just a short walk downhill, on foot! The room was comfortable and quiet, breakfast was excellent and Maeve could not have been a more gracious host! If you find the steps it shortens the walk back up...
