I see that 2 people were dissatisfied and left rather poor reviews. If I may, I would like to say that my wife and I have stayed here several times and various dates. We have always found it to be a great place to stay. Its location is fantastic with lots of things to do and see. In fact we...

Most pleasant, helpful and accomodating hosts, a beautiful landscape and hearty breakfasts. The rooms are on the small side but nothing is lacking, including a fascinating display of historic artefacts and a good film, which is available in sevearl languages. A stay we would entirely recommend. Kristina

We spent a night here while exploring the Connemarra area. The hotel rooms are great, the staff very welcoming - all great. The history museum was a bonus- they have a video and other historical memorabilia. There is all a small farm up the hill to discover as well as a garden with reconstructed old farming huts. Breakfast was great.....

Spent two nights here, while driving the Wild Atlantic Highway. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Staff very attentive and helpful. Close to Cliften for dinner. Heritage site has great insight into the Potato Famine and subsequent Irish migrations.

We have had a great stay here at Dan O'Hara's. Breakfast is served hot and the waitresses are most accommodating. Our second day here we watched a movie in the theater about the history and then went on a bus tour with one of the proprietors, Martin. His talk was most informing and the scenery was wonderful. Our room accommodations...

A second meeting warm and friendly with Irish people who open Connemara with their heart and good documentations. We feel at home 9 days with Nora, Paula and Martin and the waitresses. . From the bedroom we occupied we saw landscapes and birds and sometimes heard a little donkey calling for its motherdonkey. The house is very clean and comfortable....

The room itself was nice, but the focus was on the loads of tour bus passengers and not the guests staying overnight. It has no "charm" or true feel of a farmhouse as listed - it feels much more like a Hotel or a Business than a true BnB. This was our least favorite BnB we stayed at during our...

I reserved a group visit here for 49 French tourists. We were warmly welcomed with delicious freshly baked scones, homemade jams and pots of tea. After watching the very interesting video we took the tractor trailer ride up the mountain to watch the turf cutting demostration and admire the most wonderful views of the mountains and lakes of Connemara. We...

In planning our Ireland vacation we stayed in a variety of accommodations from city hotels, country inns and castles. We had asked our travel agent to include a B&B in our plans as Ireland is so well known for the hospitality of the Irish. Despite its claims this is not a B&B but a nondescript (but clean) hotel on the...

“My wife and I stay in Room 4 - It was the room we stayed in on our Honeymoon on our tour of Ireland. Room 4 has a lovely babbling brook outside the window, it is a real pleasure to lay on the bed and absorb the quiet quietness and the gentle flow of the brook.”

“The accommodations appear to be great from any selection. We did not spend much time in the room as there is a wonderful sitting room for reading. The town walk and the outdoor activities keep us very busy during the day and at night we were glad to have a comfortable bed to sleep in.”
