I'll let you into a little secret: from the first time I discovered this part of Ireland, I have kept a big place in my heart for beautiful, wild, mystical Connemara and this year, it was time to return there to recharge my batteries! As the poster in the campsite kitchen proudly proclaims, "He (Bear Grylls) calls it Man vs...

Another fantastic holiday in Actons!! Despite the weather being somewhat "seasonal" we all really enjoyed our two weeks camping. Thanks again to Kris and Tatiana for looking after us so well. Highly recommend anyone thinking of camping in the West or indeed Ireland. It is a must see place for campers.

Stayed here with 5 of my friends a week ago for a night as we had planned for an unexpected, adventurous drive to Connemara. Our host Chris was super awesome, friendly and peaceful. We went there only at 7.00 pm, even then he waited for us and helped us in accommodating. The place is well maintained and the beach is...

Our favourite spot to camp along the wild Atlantic way, Clifden ecobeach is a beautiful campsite where you can be tucked away in your own sand dune and wake up to beautiful sea views. The walk around the coast and out to the island is amazing and well worth the stunning views when you get to the island to explore....

It's quite a way out from Clifden and the facilities are a little basic, but when you get there, it's an amazing location. We had a pitch that was right on the dunes, with sea around us on 3 sides and fantastic views. You have to admire what they are trying to do here, ie. create an eco site. The...

We stayed one night in September. We loved the rawness of the campsite, no hard stands etc. We were Impressed how the little things were provided, like washing up liquid, and milk for a cup of tea. Gorgeous sucluded beach and amazing views. Had the most amazing sunset. A pub and shop in walking distance but didn't venture. Great ethics...

Our first ever trip to Ireland took us to this beautiful campsite. We had all the attention in the world to make our way south after 2 days but fell in love with this amazing gem as soon as we got there. We ended up staying the entire 9 days of our holiday. The weather wasn't always perfect but we...

The campsite is in a beautiful location ,right on the beach. Very wild and rugged. Get the fire pit for a tenner and watch the sunset with a few friends and beers, for a lovely evening. Clifden is a short drive away and theres a pub about 30 mins walk in the other direction. Facilities are basic but clean. We'll...

Stayed here for a weekend in August with my two kids. Kris and Tatiana were fantastic hosts and were very helpful in getting us settled in. Hope to come back soon! The location is excellent - short drive to Clifden and close to loads of outdoors attractions - we took the opportunity to climb diamond hill which was spectacular. Just...
