Stayed here for one night, was a great experience. Came in early afternoon, was able to settle into the unique rooms and take a nice hot shower (using bog water). Caught tea time, had some great scones and tea and watched 6 nations rugby. Breakfast the next morning was just great. Great food, great hospitality, great everything.

Just back from a short 2 night stay at the AbbeyGlen Castle Hotel. We were met with smiling, welcoming faces and shown to our room which was at the back of the castle. No sea view but a beautiful small waterfall outside our window. We were invited to complimentary afternoon tea and scones in the bar so we went down...

As an addendum to a previously posted review. As i said in the review we have been going to the Abbeyglen every year for the past 20 years and we were disappointed at our Christmas stay. However shortly after posting the review i received a mail from Abbeyglen offering their apologises and presenting us with a complementary 2 night stay...

From the moment we parked we were met by a guy called 'Keviin' he was brilliant and had great patience with us girls. Our cases were taken to our rooms. The rooms were all beautiful decorated, some with four poster...

Since 1996 weve visited ABBEYGLEN at least once a year, by the way something the management has very little interest in. However we decided this year to spend Christmas in Abbeyglen . Well what a dissapointment ! Nothing special abouy the 3 days at all. In fact the menu in the restaurant was smaller that normal. We had what was...

What a wonderfully, delightful stay. My wife (Jenn and me (Arthur)) stayed four nights. We feared it might be a bit too long in a small town like Clifton in an area like the Connemara, where we assumed didn't have a lot to offer, come to discover it wasn't long enough. We drove from Dublin, via a ferry, and a...

The Abbeyglen Castle is definitely not a standard corporate hotel. It is a very personal hotel with friendly and attentive staff in an excellent location with lovely views. The food in the evening was really good with a nice selection of wines. I also used the spa for a manicure, pedicure and massage and can honestly say that the treatments...
