Room warm and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. Staff in dining room very friendly and efficient. The soft furnishings are a little tired, it could do with a lift and the open fire should be filled with solid fuel to add a bit of coziness. Altogether though, we had a very pleasant stay and would stay on our next...

I have stayed at Foyles many times and find it a most comfortable and friendly hotel offering great food served by well trained and friendly staff, The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the position in the centre of the town is wonderful for night life and the live music bar is also excellent. Foyles is always my first choice.

I've stayed here on a few occasions and always enjoyed my stay. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was always lovely. The attached restaurant is very good and is quite popular. Parking is limited outside the hotel itself and parking on the streets is pay-to-stay. The hotel is very central. It is an old hotel and while most of...

This old hotel is very tired. It is big and furnished with old furniture which gives it charm but there are essentials which needs cleaning up and redecorating throughout. The noise from other bedrooms is unacceptable. Our window needed replacing and there was foam filler in the corner - see picture. Our bathroom was appalling - the tiles were mismatched...

New Year's Eve in Foyles, Clifden was just brilliant. The 5 course meal was delicious with an excellent choice on the menu. Staff all very friendly and courteous and the music and dancing in Mullarkeys bar later brilliant. Looking forward to next year already. One of our party lost her phone so thank to the kind person who handed it...

We stayed the last weekend in November in Foyles hotel. I've stayed here on two occasions before and was looking forward to coming back. On arrival I discovered I had a puncture but this was ably and quickly dealt with by Steven. Problem solved. Our room 211, was large, cosy and inviting. Heat was never a problem in the hotel....

I have just being looking over photos from our trip to Connemara and we had such a lovely time. We stayed four nights in the hotel and used it as our base to visit the beautiful surrounding areas. I, my partner and our two children loved the friendly staff who had great time for us and gave us lots of...

Our weekend in Clifden and Connemara was ruined when we stayed at Foyles Hotel. Saturday night there was a party in the double room next door which began around 12 midnight and ended at 9 am next day. There was constant loud talking and aggressive shouting all night from five or six people. We tried to phone reception during the...

We stayed here for only 1 night while touring. Very friendly greeting and efficient service at the desk.. Beautiful lobby, large room and bathroom. It is quite an old hotel and is quite charming. The furniture is quite old and worn which is ok by me, just adds to the charm. The carpet really needs replacing badly in the bedrooms(...

Quiet hotel, clean, amazing food-breakfast was amazing. it has soul and has amazing bar with patio. Staff is friendly and easy going. Warm place, centre of Clifden. Could be a bit cheaper but still worth the price! Old type hotel with excellent variety of furniture for antiques lovers.
