Really lovely hotel, warm welcoming and a touch of old style country town hotel which is what it is. Sunday lunch is fantastic value, staff were amazingly friendly and helpful when we visited. One quibble! the gents bathroom floor was absolutely lethal. management need to address this issue as it is literally an accident waiting to happen. Otherwise 4 star

Stayed here recently for one night, hotel itself is very outdated and old fashioned. The rooms are basic and not much glamour to them. But you have everything you need for a one night stay. Food in the bar was fantastic and the staff are so helpful! Great location and a great pub just across the road with darts and...

This modern hotel is an excellent starting point for visitors to Kerry. You can travel to Tralee and Killarney, or do the Ring of Kerry from this central location. If you are into Traditional Culture, then there is no better location to absorb the culture of Sliabh Liucra region. Rooms are clean, bright and airy and the staff are top...

A very nice hotel with a very helpful staff. Our stay came with a full Irish breakfast that was great. In the heart of town so you can walk to the many pubs and restaurants. Rooms were small but clean

I recently had to drive to Castleisland for a funeral and this hotel was recommended to me. The whole tone of my stay there was set from the initial call with Receptionist Deirdre who was equally warm and welcoming on the phone as she was in person when I checked in after a long drive from Dublin. The room was...

Nice, comfortable hotel, whose staff will go out of the way to oblige. We have popped in for breakfast, which is buffet style, but decent. Con's Bar is great for a bite to eat and the service is excellent. Rooms are very good for a three star hotel. The location on the Main Street is very convenient. The hotel attracts...

We stayed at the hotel last minute and only booked the day before by phone. The hotel itself was very old fashion looking and we seemed to be the youngest people there (30ies). The hotel is clean but almost everything is dark red, which makes everything look smaller. The tiny old fashion elevator has his charms and the long dark'ish...

You can be sure of a wonderful holiday stay when you choose River Island Hotel. A very friendly welcome was given to our coach party, rooms all a good size with a spotless comfortable standard. I was pleasantly surprised to be given different vegetarian options every evening for dinner, each being delicious. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for three nights whilst on a coach tour, Found the hotel comfortable, good food and staff friendly and helpful. Good location for bars etc. Only thing I would say is that during meal times staff can be a bit stretched as the bar person waits at the tables as well so not able to get a drink during...
