We stayed at the hotel last minute and only booked the day before by phone. The hotel itself was very old fashion looking and we seemed to be the youngest people there (30ies). The hotel is clean but almost everything is dark red, which makes everything look smaller. The tiny old fashion elevator has his charms and the long dark'ish...

You can be sure of a wonderful holiday stay when you choose River Island Hotel. A very friendly welcome was given to our coach party, rooms all a good size with a spotless comfortable standard. I was pleasantly surprised to be given different vegetarian options every evening for dinner, each being delicious. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for three nights whilst on a coach tour, Found the hotel comfortable, good food and staff friendly and helpful. Good location for bars etc. Only thing I would say is that during meal times staff can be a bit stretched as the bar person waits at the tables as well so not able to get a drink during...

Hotel is nice and is located in the town, there is no car park but there is on street parking. Dinner was nice, didn't have breakfast. Friendly staff. TV in the bedroom is old and the volume is quite low. Overall a good hotel.

This Hotel has a lovely atmosphere, although the internal layout is a little difficult to navigate. Entertainment in the bar occasionally. The staff are friendly and helpful. Food reasonable. Well stocked breakfast buffet.

Friendly and obliging staff. Other hotels could learn from them. Would definitely stay if in the area again. Clean and comfortable rooms. Situated in centre of town. Good breakfast and lunch served on The day as attending a funeral. Worth another visit on a happier occasion!

Stayed here for 3 nights during coach trip to Ring of Kerry and Dingle. Very comfortable hotel with fine service and food. Very friendly staff. Would have given 5 stars if the view from the hotel room window was better, let down by looking out onto concrete yard and corrugated roofs.
