I could not believe how beautiful this hotel was. The restaurant's evening food was absolutely class. I'm fussy when it comes to fine dining but this was value for money plus fine dining, which don't often come hand in hand! We had chicken harissa (like fajitas) made by Darragh, as the waitress told us. We were hungry so she assured...

The concert was at 8 pm , so we arrived at this hotel hoping for a light meal. We were disappointed with the restaurant when we were informed we could not order any sandwiches. Instead we were given two small bowls of chips. Most disappointing as we felt we could have been more accomodated. We had to seek out the...

Dear Karen G Thank you for your recent review of the Lough Rea Hotel & Spa, it was regretful that certain aspects of your evening at the Sharon Shannon concert were not right and you left disappointed. On the evening our Restaurant was fully booked with dinners attending the concert so I presume you entered our Brassiere to dine, I...

This hotel name would appear to be very luxurious. The rooms were serviceable. The restaurant was okay. I'm sure that there may be better accommodations in the area. The design of the room was just awkward. No luggage stands or maybe just one. The shower had a glass partition, but to turn the shower on you had to reach around...

Myself and my five sisters all wanted to surprise our mum with a spa weekend again together for her 60th. We booked Loughrea, after extensive research. Our top criteria was that the hotel needed a spa, an excellent, relaxed restaurant and fantastic service. Loughrea did not disappoint! The hotel is very attractive on the outside, I really liked the modern...

I stayed in this hotel at the weekend with my sisters. At the time of booking, I told them we were celebrating two big birthdays and they made sure we had a nice large room overlooking the lake with a little balcony. The room was huge as was the bathroom and the beds were very comfortable. If I was nit...

This was exceptional value - 60 Euro for use of a gorgeous thermal spa (Jacuzzi, sauna, saunarium, spray showers, light room, dark room), choice of 3 treatments and lunch included! The atmosphere was so relaxing from the minute we walked in and no pressure was put on you to leave the thermal suite, we could have stayed there for the...
