Unfortunately of the 5 B&Bs we stayed at in our 11day trip to Ireland, this was #5. Our host was absolutely charming, and the breakfast was good, but the room left a lot to be desired. The shower was moldy, no soap, and the bed linens and pillows (not sure they were really pillows) left a lot to be desired....

Gleann-na-Smol hosted us on a reunion/vacation for my extended family in August 2012. You would have thought that Sean, the proprietor, was one of the family -- he very patiently accommodated our shifting plans and preferences, even cheerfully coordinating the comings and goings of wings of the family when cell phones went awry. At the time, Sean was recovering from...

Extremely friendly & welcoming. This B&B has been in the family for generations & it completely showed . The man of the house really made me feel welcome & comfortable. The hotels could do with learning from this man about customer service . A deffinate easy choice to make if looking for great value accommodation in Howth.

The B&B is located in a lovely neighborhood. An easy (I like hills) walk to the seaside town of Howth where you will find a great backdrop for vacation photos. Lots of nice restaurants and no shortage of ice cream shops. We had the opportunity to stay with Sean on bookend nights of our trip to Ireland for a family...

Great small B and B. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Sean was so helpful - he even picked us up from the train station and dropped us back there each morning. Slight walk up a hill from the main street, but this didn't bother us at all. Excellent location. 5 - 10 minute walk from town. Great restaurants in...

If you are looking for luxury and an amenity-laden experience book somewhere else! If you are looking for a place and folks that make you feel like you've made it to a familiar-from-your-childhood vacation home (or maybe some beloved relative's home) then book with Sean and his Family. This is my first trip to Ireland. Simple, comfortable, clean and homey--not...

We arrived to Howth in miserable weather, it was quite an ordeal arriving to the house as the wind had knocked down some trees and some streets were still blocked. However, the ordeal was worth it. Sean's B&B has a charm of its own, it's trully different from any b&b experience you could ever wish for. It is conveniently located...

An authentic Irish experience is what you’ll receive in this charming, warm and friendly B&B. When traveling to the Dublin area, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else but this delightful home in beautiful Howth. Convenient to the Dublin airport and nearby DART train, getting around Dublin is convenient and easy. Sean, the host, is so welcoming and accommodating, suggesting delicious area...

Sean's place was rather hard to find initially when we first arrived in Howth. A kind woman which we met in the corner store drove us to his place. It was raining and damp and Sean prepared a nice cup of tea along with some sweets which we very much appreciated. The breakfast that he served the next morning was...
