Got ice cream and tea in the ice cream parlour. Asked the staff for hot water to heat the babys bottle after spending 10 euro and was asked for 30c. Ive never been asked for money for hot water to heat a bottle before. Rude staff and overpriced ice cream. Never again !!!

We chose Howth as it was close to Dublin after our ferry crossing in the afternoon. Ann's was an excellent choice for Bed and Breakfast. Jonathon and his wife were excellent attentive hosts. Room was light and airy and breakfast was Cereal, toast and tea or coffee. The views of the harbour were excellent. We returned for another nights stay...

Ann's will suit you if you like a small double room with a sloping ceiling, are prepared to remain in a bent position when standing, like sitting on low chairs ,can donate time as a TV engineer and don't want/need wifi/broadband in the bedroom. Sleep didn't come easy ........ There doesn't seem to be eggs bacon tomatoes croissants available to Ann's...

In front of the sea, great location in the nice port of Howth, this b&b is not so expensive, simple but clean and cozy. Mr. Jonathan is a big, funny, adorable kind of person. Good simple breakfast (no full Irish but really ok)

Howth is a nice little community on the coast a short distance from Dublin, easy to reach on the DART train. It is the place locals come on the weekend to relax, and there are lots of sailboats and tourists about. We picked Ann's from Rick Steves' Ireland 2014 guide. The host is Jonathan and he's great to talk to...

Ann's is a unique gem in the picturesque village of Howth. The B&B is run by Jonathon who is as down to earth as it gets with a well developed sense of humor. He is very helpful and extends information on request as well as cultural advise which we appreciated. I got the impression he does not suffer fools or...

There are a few type of B&Bs that you encounter in Ireland -- Ann's is on the simpler side. No 16th century construction with antiques and help to serve full Irish breakfasts but the location is great, the owner is friendly, and the place is clean. Ann's sits at the end of town, next to restaurants and pubs and is...

ann's is in a great location, rooms are nice and clean, however I hope you don't want a good irish breakfast as you wont get one - toast and cornflakes is all which is very poor for the €80 price tag. owner was rude upon departure all in all wouldn't stay here again.

We spent the last two nights of a ten day trip at Mr. Cooke's place. While we are not the most seasoned at the B&B game, it really all lies in perspective. We stayed in two B&B's and a vacation rental during our ten days, so I will try not to deviate from apples and oranges. Jonathan was easy to...

Stayed in this little gem many many times over the years while on business in Dublin. I have not been back since I started semi retirement in August 2009 and did not visit Dublin any more on business. Jonathan is the genial host of Ann's guest house and shop below. Since the death of his wife, Jonathan provides only continental...
