When we first entered we thought the reception area was a run down, although we had a lovely welcome from Henry who showed us to our room. What a surprise, it was amazing, 3 rooms, large bedroom and bathroom with a lovely sitting room looking out to the well groomed lawns, beautiful furnishings and very comfy bed. Sight seeing advice...

My wife and I stayed two nights here while on a tour. The grounds were well groomed and was quiet. The room was a really good size and seemed pretty clean. The service was very good and the host was open to answering any questions we had about the manor or the local area.

Whilst staying in the area we decided to have a meal here. We called in to book a table for later that week and asked if steak would be on the menu - it was a limited choice dinner menu but looked good. We were told it might be but not guaranteed. Seemed reasonable so made the booking. It is...

The greeting was warm and fulsome. The room was bright, airy, quiet and well appointed. Breakfast was well presented, satisfying and relaxing. Sight-seeing advice was spot-on and dinner was homely, god quality and also well presented. Henry, Elaine and Joe ae wonderful hosts, full of friendly, caring humour. A great start to our 10 days in Ireland.

This is a very traditional hotel - you really feel that you are being welcomed into the hosts' home whist still getting hotel service. Our room was very spacious, with a separate seating area and the shower was surprisingly excellent and powerful (given our experience of similar age hotels!). Lovely view of the gardens, and nothing to be heard but...

We really enjoyed our stay. Room was excellent, tidy and big. We also had a very nice diner and a good choice of wine. The afterdinner irisch coffee was world record quality. After a nice stroll in the garden we regretted we had to go forward to our next stayover. Sorry for my bad english.

We were really happy with the size of the room we got, and the dinner was great value on the night we arrived. Really missed having a kettle in the room - but I'm sure if we asked, we would have got whatever we required as the hosts seemed really friendly!

Love the place! The owners are great and talkative. He knows a lot about history and customs and just a happy guy that will happily sit and chill out with you for a night cap at the bar or lounge areas. Rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast was the best of the 4 different places we stayed and the...

The Ross Lake House has an old world feel. The rooms we were given were in the main house and older but roomy. We killed several spiders while there for 2 days and the shower in our bathroom couldn't spray in one direction, plumbing was a little slow also. The staff were very friendly and nice, breakfast was an awesome...
