We were looking for somewhere to have dinner and stopped at Oughterard. Parked outside the Boat Inn, sunny afternoon, had a drink outside and stayed for tea. We have been in Ireland for a fortnight and been to at least 2 pubs a day and had at least one meal a day in a pub. That is nearly 30 pubs...

Avoid the penne, poor taste and too much sauce. Burgers were great, service poor today but it was busy. Nice and warm and cosy. Nice location in centre of village . Staff not great , never came back to table to ask how my bad meal was or when they collected the plates they never asked how it was, so...

Lovely pub in the centre of the town. We had a really nice meal - one of the best i had in Galway on our way back from Clifden. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend a stop off here for lunch or dinner..

Working in the area for couple of months , came here for dinner before the Ireland vs Wales game. The food was superb . I had the Sizzling Prawns for starter and Lamb Stew for mains and it was just perfect . would definitely recommend to anyone .

We ate here last Sunday. We were disappointed with our food - fish cakes were on special - two of the group ordered these - they were way over cooked and very small for a main course. Nice busy atmosphere but just wouldn't return on a Sunday afternoon.

This is a charming pub restaurant on the Main St.in Oughterard. The counter is designed to resemble a boat. It was very clean with friendly staff and while we only had a bowl of soup and coffee the service was excellent. I will be very happy to return and try something more substantial and would have no hesitation in recommending.

We came back from a trip to Kylemore Abbey and we had gotten drenched so we stopped in the Boat Inn for a bite to eat. The staff were so friendly and attentive even though it was busy and the food was fab. The menu had a great selection and it was really wholesome food with great portion sizes. Would...

Enjoyed lunch on a Friday with my husband and our two young children. Kids ate fish with chips and popcorn chicken with chips from the kid's menu, I enjoyed squid served with pickled veggies and a salad, my husband had fish with chips. We felt the pricing was reasonable, my son got the largest portion of chicken we've ever received...
