Our room was very clean. Huge plus! However, we had no view. Our window looked out into a courtyard filled with electrical wires. The hotel is very noisy. Although this hotel has been renovated, the walls must be very thin because you can hear everything out in the hallways, and the guests (at least when we were there) are very... More

This is an old hotel with lots of charm, it looks nice. But like old hotels they don't function well! Single-glazed windows on a busy road, and paper-thin walls. Unfortunately the room next to ours were having an all night session and didn't shut up talking at full volume until 8am. I rang down to reception and the staff member... More

CONS - I checked into the hotel holding a suit bag a hold-all a back pack a pair of shoes and a laptop bag hanging off me. The night manager was friendly enough but disappeared when I asked for help up to my room with my stuff! I rang down and asked for an Iron so I could iron my... More

Well, it's Monday night now. Checked in Saturday, haven't seen house cleaning since I checked in. I'm on my own and I keep my room clean but would be nice to get clean towels and extra tee bags. Tip: Staff are generally ok and helpful but if Caoimhe is on front desk I would avoid asking anything complicated ( ie:... More

Outside the hotel looks dated. Upon check-in the lady could not find our prepaid reservation and kept us standing there like eejits. The room wad nice enough, however it had recently been redone. The hallway stinks of lemon fresh. We skipped dinner and ate by the seaside. Bathroom was nice and clean, window was not fully lockable. Breakfast was very... More

Had a brilliantly sized room ( it was large) which had recently been done up. Enjoyed free access to the gym, swimming pool, sauna & steam room. Located in the main st of Bray near a number of great restaurants and cafes. Parking was €5 out the back of the hotel.

On getting to the hotel our room was not ready, that was fine as check in is at 3 and we got there at 2.50, we had treatments booked for 4 so we expected not that long of a wait, the only problem is when we went back to the reception to ask about our room at 3.30 we found... More

Had a lovely long weekend staying at the Royal. Staff were helpful and friendly. Full Irish breakfast was ideal for 10euros and the rooms comfortable. Would recommend to anyone who wants to stay outside Dublin at a seaside resort.
