Stayed here for 5 nighs for a business trip. While Seamus is a pleasant host the B&B is not bad but nothing to write home about. My room was rather small with a cramped bathroom. Breakfast was OK but nothing unusual. WiFi was rather patchy and you can hear the nearby road quite a bit. Saying that, it was also...

we were warmly welcomed by our host Mr Seamus. The room was perfect. It is a small distance from Galway city. Tesco is few mins away and there are lots of restaurants in the vicinity. Our child was fascinated by the mother daughter duo of Sandy and Jess (dogs). Jess even posed with us for photos. We were served mouth watering...

Wonderful, but all-too-brief visit. Both to this very comfortable B&B, and to Ireland in general. Mr. Grady was the consummate host. Personal service, accommodating and engaging. Great "local knowledge" tips for touring the area. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality. I promised to bring my wife with me, and stay here on our next trip to the Emerald...

I spent about 5 weeks in Shanlin House, and I have to say that I enjoyed every single moment there. I was utterly touched by the incredible kindness and friendliness of Mr. and Mrs. Grady from the moment I got into the house till the very last minute of my stay. As for the services, one would not ask for...

I have to say, upon initially driving up to Shanlin House, we were a little skeptical because it was located on a slightly busy road. It turned out to be a totally quiet and relaxing place, and we got excellent sleep both nights. Seamus was very welcoming as soon as we got there and gave us lots of recommendations on...

The Grady family were the perfect hosts for our trip to Galway. On a friend's reccomendation we stayed with Seamus and Geraldine. It was a great stay. Not only did they make sure we were comfortable and well fed within our lodgings, but they made sure our adventure on the coast was one we'd enjoy. It's in a great location...

On a recent tour of Ireland (from Australia) we were lucky enough to find Shanlin House, & I have to say this was THE best B&B we stayed at during our entire trip, Seamus & Geraldine are so warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them, Seamus's breakfasts were voted the best of the trip. Seamus and Geraldine have a perfect bed & breakfast. We found it to be both cozy and luxurious, with rooms that were clean and comfortable. The breakfast both mornings were fabulous. Seamus was very helpful with directions and suggestions. Shanlin House is very convenient for touring the Galway area; we also went out to Inishmore. We will definitely return to...

“When the Irish tell you "it is five minutes walk" it is about as reliable as "just up the road", you need to ask how long is the road so when this place tells you town is a five minute walk expect twice to three times that long.”
