Excellent stay. Comfortable room and private bathroom, very friendly welcome with tea and biscuits and a log fire, and very accommodating of further guest arriving later. Had a lovely breakfast cooked to order with several options offered, and was dropped up at the castle without having to ask in the morning. Thanks again!

This B&B was wonderful and we loved it from the moment we arrived. Kathleen greeted us with hot coffee and biscuits after our long flight from Canada. The rooms were perfect and Kathleen and Emmet could not do enough for us from driving us into town for dinner and then the next driving us to Cabra Castle for the first...

We stayed as part of a friends wedding at Cabra Castle, from minute we arrived to minute we left we had a lovely time. We were dropped up to hotel after receiving a lovely cup of coffee. The best bit we felt was the menu for breakfast to include a slot up to 10.30am to sit down and have our...

Stayed in Plantation Lodge for a wedding, recommend it 100%. Kathleen and Emmett are lovely and very welcoming. We went to a wedding in Cabra Castle, upon checking in we were shown our room and told to help ourselves with tea coffee etc. When we were ready they dropped us to Cabra Castle only 2 min drive up the road,...

We stayed at this family run Bed and Breakfast for 5 days. It was just lovely. The breakfast was just right. The rooms were tidy and very clean. We liked the peace and quiet of this rural setting. Kathleen and Emmett couldn't do enough for us. I would recommend this B & B to anyone who is visiting the Cavan,...

I stayed here in April. We were going to a wedding in Cabra Castle. The B&B was lovely. The bathroom was beautiful and immaculately clean. Emmet was great and made me a lovely coffee and he offered a spin up to the Castle. The breakfast was great the next day and I felt very comfortable there. A good price too....

We stayed for 2 nights as we were attending a Wedding at Cabra Castle. We were delighted with our huge spacious room, spotless bathroom, welcoming landlady, friendly atmosphere. The large garden added to the homely appearance of the house. Every request was catered to and the standard of the food was excellent. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room...

We stayed at Plantation Lodge for two nights leading up to the Bank Holiday weekend, and could not have been happier with our experience. Kathleen and Emmet made us feel right at home - VERY hospitable without being overbearing. Being from the New Orleans, we are used to the best of Southern Hospitality, and we felt right at home with...

We stayed at Plantation Lodge at the weekend as we were attending a wedding at the (very) close by Cabra Castle. Our room was huge, with a double bed and single, en suite bathroom and plenty of wardrobe space. We were encouraged to make ourselves tea/coffee and jugs of water were left out for our use when we returned in...

We only stayed one night but we were impressed. The rooms were large and very comfortable. The landlady is welcoming. There is a large separate sitting room with television, piano, guitar and a fire. It was very homely. The breakfast was good and there was no urgency about departing. We would certainly stay there again if we were in that...
