I recently stayed at Kilcooleys while attending a conference there and thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms are large and extremely comfortable, we ate in both the bar and in the restaurant at a Gala Dinner and I have to say the food was completely delicious, ideal for a gorgeous small lunch or a slap up dinner. I think one of...

Stayed at Kilcooleys Country House which is a beautiful building right in the town - we loved the rooms - large and beautifully furnished. We also found that the staff were great and everybody was really helpful right down to helping me find my lost car keys!! The hotel was recommended to me by friends who stay there regularly and...

Been staying here regularly over 10 years. Consistently good service, rooms and food. Town centre location is excellent for the evenings. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. John and Joan are very welcoming. It is a treat to stay with them.

The owners, John and Joan were always on hand and made our stay very pleasurable. Our visitors from Thailand cant wait to come back to this little gem,...

Checked for rooms at Tripadviser and Booking.com. Both said 4 free rooms. Parked just beside and wanted to see hotel before final booking. Staff called owner and he said "no rooms". Very strange. He cannot be Irish, as during week travel in this beautiful country we only met very friendly people. We could have booked via booking.com and get room,...

Found it was the only hotel open in Ballybunion at this time. The room was large, well furnished and comfortable. We ate out as the hotel's chef had been given the night off. The owner was friendly and helpful and sent a lovely cup of coffee to our room on our return. Breakfast was served at our chosen time and...

Called in for dinner with the gang. Staff were very courteous and attentive. Menu had a good choice of foods for all a little on the expensive side for Easter weekend. Steak was €29 afternoon roast was €15, not cheap. Quality was good service turnaround slow. Venue was very clean and tidy. Good wifi and bar service.

Hello fellow travellers, Kil oily is a (probably) typical country hotel and restaurant in county Kerry. It's situated on the main road in Ballybunnion and is on of the few establishments offering dinner! The premises themselves have a welcoming and warm decor making you feel at home (at least I did). Generally the staff is quite friendly and checks every...
