Delphi is remote and not easy to get to, but so idyllic that the journey is worth every mile. Our stay started with Michael greeting us at the front door with a smile- I introduced myself, he immediately greeted my other half by name and brought us to our room. Dinner was an experience - canapés in the lounge, with... More

Just back from a few days at Delphi Lodge. Michael and his team really looked after us. As novice fishermen he organised 2 days fishing with with a great Gillie (John Summerville) and we were introduced into the art of 'dapping'. We caught some fine trout and pike and really enjoyed the unique atmosphere, great food and fantastic hospitality at... More

My husband and I had a simply brilliant four or five days at Delphi Lodge last May. It is unique in the best possible sense. A beautiful, historic setting, lovely rooms and an extraordinarily warm welcome from Mick, his staff and family. We do not fish but loved the very civilised evening meals, with pre-dinner drinls and canapes served before,... More

We cannot say enough about how beyond amazing Delphi Lodge and the team was for our wedding weekend! We had a mix of Irish and American family and friends make the trip up to Leenane and almost 5 months later everyone is still raving over the experience! The level of communication during the year leading up to our event (including... More

We loved Delphi Lodge! A friend recommended it to us when we said on our last few days in Ireland we wanted to go west, and we are so glad she did. The place is beautiful, the rooms comfortable, the staff is super nice, and there is a dinner for all of the guests every evening, starting with drinks in... More

Beautifully, elegantly managed lodge of the old English style, focused unabashedly on the huntsman, gamesman......but accidently a superb location from which to take cobweb removing brisk walks, or leisurely drives around Connemara. Dinner served to all guests at one large banqueting table. Definitely worth a long weekend.

This was supposed to be a fishing stop for my husband, but because the water level was the lowest in years, there were no salmon. Instead, we enjoyed touring the area and relaxing in the lovely house. The staff was very nice and the rooms and community areas were lovely. The food was among the best we had, and dining... More

What a wonderful experience; perfect! The most enchanting scenery in Ireland! Mick and Carol are perfect host... let them put together your day trips, and give you recommendations as to how to enjoy this wonderful part of Ireland...oh so knowledgeable. The lodge is a great combination of old and new,,,, character, and modern, particularly with the modern, electronic elegant bathrooms.... More

Where to start?! This trip was a 50th birthday present for my wife, Caron, after she requested "a fishing holiday in a nice hotel". Delphi Lodge hugely surpassed both our expectations. Caron says it was the best birthday present ever, and I have earned so many 'good husband' points that i doubt I can ever do anything wrong again :... More

I contacted Delphi Lodge to get a first class fishing experience. The fishing, scenery, and relaxation was everything I hoped for, but the entire experience at Delphi Lodge made it so much more. What a a great place to meet fellow fishermen, learn new techniques, and trade fish stories! Mick and his team are the best at what they do.... More
