Having travelled and worked in Southern Africa for many years, staying on many occasions with family and friends, we wanted to find an intimate base in Cape Town from which we could explore the cape and its beautiful gardens and wine lands. We seek peace and solitude, but we are quite gregarious, and need quality service. As reported from our...

My husband and I were recently treated to another wonderful and absolutely blissful stay at the gorgeous Andros Hotel. The absolute only complain I have - I wish we could have stayed for one night longer, one night is simply not enough! We loved our beautiful Suite #5, it is a true piece of heaven. The dinner we ordered in...

Stumbled across this property accidentally on Tripadvisor, how lucky! Magnificent Cape Dutch homestead in the heart of residential southern suburbs, a real gem. Room at pool spacious and luxurious. Could not have been happier with location and quality of property. Fantastic breakfast, can't vouch for any other meal. Staff friendly and efficient. Hidden Gem really.

What an absolutely unexpected stunning surprise hidden in the lush green suburbs! This quick weekend away, turned out to be one of the most luxurious and relaxing times I've had in a while. What I enjoyed about my stay at the Andros was the personal touch to every guest. While the staff are extremely attentive, they also leave you to...

We booked this hotel based on the excellent reviews. Some of them now seem hyped so here is my take on the hotel. The hotel is in a quiet residential suburb so you will need a taxi driver who knows his way around or a satnav in your car to find it easily. The location is nonetheless a good one...

It is hard to find fault with this delightful hotel . It has beautifully kept gardens . Large comfy beds by the pool . The rooms are tastefully decorated with large bathrooms. The staff could not have been more helpful.

We stayed three nights in November, the start of summer, and just the perfect place and location. Historic Dutch building, grounds were part of original vineyards. Close to many old vineyards (take the Claremont Wine Tour for 1/2 or full day with lunch), close to the national gardens which are a must see. Hotel has 2 restaurants, one new/remodeled Italian...

Finding this hotel was serendipitous! We needed a place to stay for one night at very short notice - some-one cancelled just before I phoned! Designed by Herbert Baker, this historic homestead has been beautifully re-purposed as a Boutique hotel. It is situated in the leafy suburb of Claremont and is in close proximity to a host of Cape Town's...

This is a beautiful venue in suburb of Newlands. We enjoyed a private dinner where my guests all commented on the fantastic food. My recommendations are: Starter - beetroot salad Main - Fillet steak (described as the softest steak my guest had ever eaten) Dessert - Chocolate mousse Service was great and the whole experience was special.
