The hotel sits high on a hill overlooking the Aran Islands. In the shadow of an ancient tower this repurposed structure is an elegant, comfortable, inviting hotel. The staff is pleasant and professional, the rooms comfortable. Our room overlooked the cliffs of Moher. The dinner we ate was spectacular and it was a short ride to Doolin and the pubs.

This hotel is my absolute favorite in Ireland. The staff is immensely friendly, the views and location unbeatable, and I felt part of history. There's really no place quite like it that I've come across. The most unique thing, to me, are the guests. Everyone is talkative and seems to be at their best. The community atmosphere brings the comfort...

We enjoyed everything about our stay at the Ballinalacken Castle Country House. Great room, great food, and a warm and friendly staff. We felt like we were part of the family. The castle itself is a treasure and the view from the hotel cannot be matched. This is a must stay location and we will return.

Absolutely amazing location, view, food, and service. Very friendly staff and the perfect place to spend a honeymoon. Nice little bar as well. Walking distance to some fun caves and a short drive to Doolin. If driving, stay on the main roads as the smaller roads squeeze two lanes into one.

Very pleasantly surprised by this wonderful property. The owners were very nice and we were treated to a fascinating tour of the Castle. It was Amazing and has been in this family since being purchased from the O'Briens! Fantastic food and service. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful views of the Atlantic coast.

As I write this, I'm sitting in the octagonal sunroom of Room 16 at the Ballinalack Castle Country House. In front of me, the Aran Islands sit just offshore in the Atlantic Ocean. To my left, I can see the dramatic Cliffs of Moher, just a short drive away. Behind me stands the 15th-century Ballinalack Castle, which, despite the ravages...

Wonderful hotel tucked under the ruins of a ancient castle on a hill overlooking the sea. Our rooms were wonderfully appointed with comfortable four poster beds and nice baths. The rooms had sea views. We drifted off to sleep to the sound of the waves crashing into the cliffs. The owner was gracious and accommodating. The lobby was well done and...

We stayed here for two nights in September. The staff here is lovely, friendly and attentive and the breakfast and dinner are very good. The castle ruins on site are interesting to visit and the place is far enough from town to be nice and quiet but not far enough away that you can easily drive into town for dinner...
