Lovely place, excellent food, pleasant & helpful host & hostess, magnificent views, so quiet and peaceful. We were upgraded to a Seaview 4 poster bedroom just because it was available on arrival which was a good start to a great stay. Always important to me is bed comfort and yes it was!! Would recommend! Some have said the decor is...

We stayed here for two nights in September. The staff here is lovely, friendly and attentive and the breakfast and dinner are very good. The castle ruins on site are interesting to visit and the place is far enough from town to be nice and quiet but not far enough away that you can easily drive into town for dinner...

Very nice, quiet hotel and an easy trip into Doolin for the pub night life. There is a gold mine of a castle on the site that could be enhanced to make for visitor friendly. On site restaurant was very good for dinner and breakfast and staff were highly helpful.

My husband and I came to Ireland in May for a 10 day extended whirlwind trip. This was the fourth place we stayed on our driving tour of southern Ireland. GOOD LORD THE VIEW!! As we drove up to the building, it really didn't seem like much, we'd booked through a company that assured us we would be staying at...

This was one of our favorite places we stayed in Ireland. It is a little bit of a splurge, but so worth it. The grounds are gorgeous! There is a castle built in the 1100s right next door, and the owner gives guided tours to the guests upon request. The views are spectacular. We called last-minute and they were not...

This hotel is lovely. Set in an old house, with an extension, it's homely but stately at the same time. Next to the castle ruins, it looks out over the cliffs, which even in the poor weather are stunning. Surrounded by greenery, this location is beautiful. If you're in or near Doolin this is the place to stay without a...

OK, you do NOT actually stay in the castle adjoining this country house hotel. But you DO get a guided tour at dusk from your host to check out the somewhat dilapidated remains of the former home of two of Ireland's prominent clans. They might have been rich but they sure lived rough!! Not so the family owned country house...

This Country House is steeped in history and is luxuriously comfortable. After a lengthy travel, tired and in need of home comforts Ballinalacken was the perfect home from home. Greeted by friendly staff everything was set to be well beyond our expectations. We were offered a tour of the Castle and when we reported for the tour were the only...

Bedroom was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice, with local fare and nice music. Views of the ocean are beautiful. Place was almost empty when we visited in the off-season. Bathroom was a bit tight, and there is no a/c, but bed was super comfortable.
