My wife and I are budget travelers (generally saving money on hotels so that we can spend it on activities and meals), so this hotel was a bit of splurge for us, and it was well worth it. The hotel itself is lovely inside with...More

Janet from E-Whizz Electric Bikes booked us a 3-night stay at Ballinalacken Castle Country House. We wanted a comfortable, historic B&B for day rides in the Burren and her choice was spot on. Hosts Cecilia and Declan were gracious without hovering and sweet Yvonne seemed...More
The owners of this hotel I don't think ever sleep! This is a 12 room Country house. We really enjoyed the small little bar to come back to as no one was ever in it. It was a great place to just relax and have...More

There are taxis in town but not many, the pubs in town are great but the restaurant in the hotel is one of the best in the area. Pub in the hotel is VERY quiet and you'll find you're often the only one there, but it's very quaint and the service is good. No live music in the hotel pub.
The actual town has a few really good pubs, and it's the centre of music so you'll find it all good fun. Recommend O'Connor's and McGann's (locals' favourites).
