The hotel was awesome, great architecture, friendly and hospitable staff, and cool atmosphere. Only caveat is having to take a boat across every time you need to go back to your hotel. Someone who is trying to stay out late on Khao San road might have trouble enjoying themselves as they will have a curfew since the boat service ends...

My boyfriend and I had stayed here in January of 2015 and had a very positive experience. We decided to come back for New Years Eve night of 2017. This time left us disappointed. Fresh coconuts in the room were a nice touch. Our room had lots of ants, bed sheets/pillowcases were a rough material, and pillows for rooftop 'bed'...

We were cycling with a friend who brought us to the restaurant for lunch - the staff did warn us that it might take 30 mins for the food - we said ok, but could we have the drinks first ? ... little did we expect that it would take more than 30 mins for the drinks to come -...

8km only from Bangkok City centre, this is a must do for a out-of-the-city escapade. You can stay over or just come for a lunch break during the bicycle adventures in Phra Pradaeng. The Thai food is delicious, and this is a beautiful place. Service is not so good, but it doesn't really matter - Food was served with little...

Bangkok Tree House is located right at the Chaophaya River in a swamp surrounding. They label themselves as an ECO Hotel, what a scam. To reach the Bangkok Tree House you need to walk on an elevated path through the swamp for about 300 m. The swamp surrounding the hotel is filled with plastic and stryopore garbage. At at the...

This place was far from the Klong Toei pier but it was a pleasant bike ride. It is behind a Wat. The seating is spread out on several levels. Lots of bamboo. Staff are friendly and try to take and fill orders fast but when busy they get backed up. I had Pad Thai spaghetti (150 baht). It was very...

Sometimes I choose to take TripAdvisor reviews with a pinch of salt. This is one time I wish I hadn't. I can agree with others here - the service is terrible. Water for diner no glasses to drink from. Breakfast the second half didn't arrive we had to ask for it again. Drinks missing. Staff not attentive to customer needs....

Like so many others, we decided to eat lunch here during our all-day bike trip on Bang Krachao. The place is unique in design and very interesting. The food was pretty average, but not bad. Prices were rather high for the value, but there are not a lot of choices so perhaps to be expected. The real problem is the...

Having heard a lot about this place and liking the concept of green ecolodge boutique hotel in nature area, i was looking forward to visit that place in Bangkok special area of Bang Krachao. But unfortunately, what a disappointment ! When the property classify itself as a trendy and quite luxury place (room from USD 100 to USD 300), you...

We often make the trip across the river a weekend bicycle ride and have watched the evolution of "Bangkok Tree House" over the past 5 years or so. The property is lovely and the idea is a sound one. The rooms are private and unique. The semi "outdoor" shower was great. A better quality LED light (still eco friendly) could...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It's enough to make any urban dweller green with envy: A place where you can breath clean air, explore a lush landscape, and sleep under the stars just a 30-minute ride outside the teeming, traffic-choked city center -- by public transportation, no less -- without giving up all the comforts of home. Guests at the new Bangkok Tree House can whisk themselves away from the Thai capital and its 12 million people by hopping on a recently completed extension of the city's elevated-rail network, the BTS Skytrain, to the Bangna station and then continuing on by foot, bicycle, or boat. ... more   less
