On behalf of myself and my 2 sisters we would like to thank all the staff for making our short stay very enjoyable, we had a family room, (Room 18) and it had lovely comfy beds, excellent shower and everything we needed. The food and Bar service was excellent, maybe we waited a few minutes more but the fact you were so busy is a credit to you all and as like us (second visit ) people obviously come back. We had a lovely walk up Cleeve Hill and the found family graves in beautiful Prestbury churchyard. Hope to be back again. Thank you.

Room was basic for £110 a night Carpet in corner of room had two huge indentations/stains, but bed was lovely and soft and I had a great night sleep. The shower, despite changing temp on occasion was powerful and lots of hot water. My main issue with room and actual communal areas around the hotel was it was really cold. Kept jacket on all day and evening. Views were spectacular and garden area really lovely Lots of parking available Food itself was lovely but in the evening couldn't eat dessert as I poured my custard over which was cold ( had been warmed but prob sat for was while) and ruined the dessert. Breakfast was again lovely but had cold beans this time. Just feel a little more attention to detail and could be amazing.

Booked on room only basis for 1 night, the room was very basic and not what I was expecting also the garden furniture was right up to our window so very noisy until bar closed. The rooms could be lovely with a bit of attention and not what I expected for £100 a night, not anywhere near a premier inn standard. Food and staff lovely

Part of the Greene King chain but this means a wide choice of good dishes and including unpretentious traditional pub food. Always friendly and courteous service when I have visited. Outside seating available but make sure the table doesn't slope too much! Great location with extensive views. Located near me so used regularly.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great room. Spacious with fabulous view and comfortable bed. Beautiful setting. Excellent breakfast with great choice and fresh fruit. Very reasonably priced and to tasty meals. Service on Friday night was a little slow but it was a very hot and sunny evening and the garden area was packed to watch the sunset.

We are local to the Rising Sun and visit relatively frequently. The Team are always great and accommodating for drinks, food and events. Our last visit was with guests and the food as always was great and the Chefs work hard to present fantastic food at great value. The sun was just setting when we had dinner and Jess K looked after us. She was excellent, attentive, food was on time, drinks topped up when needed and the staff supported her for a great evening. Great value, great staff - give it a go!!

Beautiful setting, lovely room and evening meals but my God ...paid for eggs benedict and salmon and scrambled eggs...eggs obviously microwaved, half hot half cold. Tea ordered, cold! Replaced twice still cold! Two couples served before us!! Food disgusting!! Male waiters very nice but replacement items cold!! Could have gone to mcdonalds...at least it would have been hot!!
