Stayed here for just one night with a group during our recent trip through Northern Thailand. My room was a Bamboo Cottage, which surely would have been a great place if it weren't for the rain. The reason for the "only" very good rating is my disappointment with the dinner buffet, which I found was good quality but low selection...

Dear Oxenways, I really appreciate your honest feed-back regarding your groups recent stay. As the weather than less than pleasant, I'm pleased you found comfortable refuge in the Bamboo Cottage. I would like to take this opportunity point out to future guests, that since your stay with us,the window screens in the bamboo cottages have been renovated with sliding glass...

Unfortunately, as I didn't have time to stay over, I can only speak for the Restaurant and not the accommodation. This place is a local legend and, a decade or so ago, was one of our regular meal stops when visiting the mountains upon whose access roads it stands. Unfortunately it was left a little unloved and went downhill badly....

I stayed here recently during a weekend in Chiang Rai. What a beautiful place to stay! The room was very spacious and the view over the valley especially in the early morning with the fog settled in the valleys was delightful. The road in was a bit run down and so we weren't sure how nice this place would be....

As I was laid up with a bad foot I couldn't take advantage of the numerous activities and treatments available. But sitting in the room-terrace jacuzzi gazing out at endless forest, I wasn't really that bothered. The centrepiece is the large pond full of huge fish in the courtyard by the restaurant, 360 degree views, enthusiastic staff, live piano in...

I selfishly don't want to review Phu Chaisai as I want to keep it all to myself! Alas... It's not mine to keep but rather to enjoy and share. Enchanting in every way, this charming mountain resort provides the perfect backdrop to a peaceful escape from the hectic demands of city life. After a short 1h10 min flight from BKK...

My only complaint is I didn't stay longer. After several months of travelling around Asia Phu Chisai was my last place to visit before heading back to Europe. In some ways a good thing as I wouldn't have left there to go anywhere else if it had been the first place. You are out in the mountains with nothing to...

My first visit to Phu Chaisai was almost ten years ago and I did not hesitate to book the hotel for my trip to Chiang Rai.
