Michaela's resort is set in an exceptionally rich biodiversity spot between land and sea. She has made our stay very comfortable, effortless and incredibly humbling, having to reconnect fully with nature. Tuko Beach is located in a pristine environment which allows you to discover many untouched natural sites both on land and underwater. Oh, and let’s not forget her amazing...

The resort is located in a amazingly preserved biodiversity spot, only few hours from Manila by road and by ferries. The room are really spacious, the service and hospitality outstanding. Lot of trek and explorations available for the most adventurous but also wonderful place to relax and chill out on the beaches. The food is also far above standard.

We were in Occidental Mindoro for Lifeline projects for the last two days and stayed at Tuko Beach Resort. It's one of the country's best kept secrets. The rooms are beautiful (such attention to detail!), the bathrooms are huge, the beach is so clean, and best of all the owner, Michaela Webb, has been helping the Mangyan and Tagalog sitios...

Occidental Mindoro is not as popular as nearby Oriental Mindoro. It's more rural and backward compared to its neighbor. But that is its charm. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxed and laid back vacation far from the maddening crowds of Galera then this is right for you. Hidden along its coast is Tuko Beach Resort which even the locals...

After an exhausting ferry and boat ride, we were immediately revived by Michaela's welcome and by the beauty and tranquility of the place. Michaela's attention to detail is commendable. Water buckets and pails outside cottages for rinsing one's feet, beach gear on hand, sealed coffee mugs and glasses in the rooms, and full course sit-down meals for breakfast and dinner....

We wanted to see more of the Philippines, and were loathe to take another flight to an island. Mindoro, and specifically Tuko beach resort was something we chanced upon. And what a find! Wonderfully located place, and more importantly managed by wonderful and pleasant people. This place has so many options - walk along the beach /shore line for miles....

This is the place to go if you are looking for a beautiful, quiet and relaxing place to stay, whether it's for a week or a few days. My husband and I were there for 4 days and nights and could have easily stayed longer. The flowers and landscape are gorgeous and the ocean view is breathtaking! You will not...

We arrived exhausted and not feeling well, but Mikaela's welcoming spirit and gourmet food quickly made us feel right at home! Without our even asking, Mikaela made it her goal to discover what kind of food we liked best, and each meal surpassed the next. (Read all the other reviews on Trip Advisor about Mikaela's cooking, and you'll see what...

This is such a lovely hidden place you rarely find. Also difficult to find on the map: it is somewhere at the beach between Abra de Ilog and Puerto Galera (approx. N13.478261, E120.815060). Even on the web it is difficult to find: http://tukobeachresort.com/ but easy to book by email or phone. How to reach: take the ferry (http://www.montenegrolines.com.ph/, 2h) from...

we came to Tukobeach for the third time. It's still a phantastic location, especially for families with kids. Best place to relax around Abra de Ilog. Great rooms, wonderful garden, nice coast and beach, excellent food, very, very helpful staff. biggest advantage is the silence there, because the very kind owner, michaela, accepts a maximum of twelve guests which is...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A tropical hideaway, off the-beaten-track, this small boutique-style resort is set on the fringes of a jungle-like forest with direct access to several white sandy beaches. Kept deliberately small with no more than 20 guests at any one time, the German management ensures a cozy, intimate atmosphere and truly Mindorenean hospitality. All cottages and rooms are of superior standard, fitted to provide spacious and comfortable living in close harmony with nature: enjoy our beautiful coral gardens close to the resort's shoreline or experience a guided trail hike to a hidden lagoon with small waterfall. ... more   less
