What a wonderful visit ! It was an wonderfully experience the hotel, cleanliness, food, location and the topic where very professional hosts! We loved it the breakfast was delicious the view was breathtaking. The beds are very comfortable clean and to be honest the first time I had to set an alarm to wake up cause it was to good to wake up...anyone with allergies or asthma is here in very good hands. I’m blown away by the beauty of nature here it’s so calming and far away from all the trouble and noises so you really can relax keep in mind tho it takes only 10’ min to get back to the city. I can only recommend it and I for sure will come again very soon!!

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay is the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. The rooms are capacious, the bed and pillows are anatomic, and all rooms have large balconies with a stunning view. All rooms are also accessible with an elevator for families with babies or people with disabilities. You should definitely try the breakfast and the restaurant's cuisine, as the food quality was of a very high standard both in presentation and taste. (Hint: there is a unique wine collection available in the restaurant, able to surprise even the most demanding taster)

Marvelous family owned and managed hotel. They accept you as their guest, not as customer and make you feel like your home. Both breakfast and other food are preapared with attention and extremely delicious. They prepare buffulo foods that I have not taste anywhere else. Grilled buffulo meat was (similar Turkish köfte) perfect. I felt that they will not serve anything to their guests anything they do not like.

Super staff, super clean and comfy! Some milk in a jug at breakfast would be good and a little cut butter, cut down on that single use plastic! Perfect place to stay if you want a little luxury whilst visiting the Mud Baths....I'll be back!

A three day stay just completed at the Philippeio Hotel in Krinides, Eastern Macedonia, Greece. Outstanding in every detail. Accommodation, breakfast, dinner and the panoramic view of mountains and the approach to Philippi is outstanding. The proud owners of this hotel have set a very high standard that we have seldom seen in our trips around the region. Our room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, the bath was fully equipped, heating and air makes the room environment quite comfortable. Breakfast served at the table-not held on a typical buffet, included every possible breakfast desire-juice, coffee, French toast, cheese and meats, pastry's fresh bread, six different homemade marmalades..honey-fig, raspberry, grape, and the carrot marmalade were absolutely delightful. The owners took a personal interest in our vacation's success, not just by providing directions to points of interest, like the ancient city of Philippi and points around the unmarked battlefield of Marc Antony, Brutus, Cassius and Octavian in 42 BCE, but by going the extra mile with some appreciated extras. Helping us with a few bags of the freshly roasted and very tasty ground coffee that is made locally, Turning us onto their homemade Greek tsipouro made dinner special.I appreciate that the locals eat here. They bring and share their own recipes with the hotel. Tells you something, doesn't it? Lucky us. We were included and one evening we were able to sample some outstanding homemade spiced apple pie after dinner that a lady had brought to the hotel. People are quite friendly travelers here. Xenia-hospitality to strangers is no Greek myth here. The dinner menu is extensive, generous, and very reasonable. Steak, schnitzel, pasta, fish entrees and some outstanding salads. We loved the schnitzels The hotel is clean, modern, all details are well thought out. Lighting is automatic, outside elevators save you a climb up steps from the parking deck; electronic security access to halls and doors-breezeways for summer. The hotel's hand cut stone exterior blends with the mountainside it rests on. Everything inside and out is well planned. Yet, no hotel without friendly staff, knowledgeable and attentive to guest detail will pass a seasoned traveler's test. We have lived and traveled around the world. The Philippeio Hotel passes with flying colors. The Kavala to Drama region and this part of Macedonia is wild, natural and history from every era is around every bend of the road. The hotel is centrally located and we will use this hotel as our base for the next trip to the area in the spring when the weather warms up. This hotel exceeded our every expectation. You will not be disappointed.
