The Balintore Inn has taken on a new lease of life since its current owners arrived in summer 2015. Looking east across a quiet road to the north sea, with tables in the garden where you can enjoy the sea breezes while eating, it offers a tasty choice of home cooked food, with large helpings at modest prices. The two course...

They served us dinner even though they just closed. They never do that and we were starving and stressed out. They served us lovely dinner, so tasty and warmed the soul. Quiet location with sea views. Really appreciate how they accommodated us when they could have turned us away. Thank you!

We visited the Balintore Inn whilst touring in Scotland, we were staying in a nearby B&B for the night and this was recommended to us. The food was very nice and the staff and locals friendly. There was a band playing in the evening so we also had some welcome, if unexpected entertainment. Would visit again if in the area.

We stayed at the Balintore Inn for three nights last month when we were attending a friend's wedding nearby. This is one of the best Inns we have stayed in with a lovely warm welcome from Mike and his staff. The food was great, the quirkiness was tremendous, (a pair of Shetland ponies grazing in the beer garden of an...

I think I am being spoilt in life. Our first choice did not have any vacancies and we were given the Balintore Inn as an option. Best option I have been given in years, the food was so so so good and the service from the team was brilliant. We arrived late and the kitchen was closed, we asked if...

Dropped in after a walk on the award winning Shandwick Beach. Very clean and tidy place with fabulous food and attentive staff. Soups were home made and exceptional. The children's macaroni cheese was consumed in no time to much praise from the hungry horaces! Highly recommend for a food stop.

Although we didn't stay at the Inn or even eat there, other than appetizers, my wife and I along with a good friend, had a great time. We had a few local beers (and ciders) and talked with Mike the chef and the bartenders. Several patrons also were there and we all made conversation. It's a natural place to relax...

We had a wonderful dinner last Sunday . It was a magical evening because we were with our friends who were just married, and we have been very lucky to see beautiful dolphins jumping from the sea. A lovely place where I would like to come back. Giusy (Italy)
