1. Pimentel itself it's not worth going 2. The hostel is way too expensive for what it offers, not even mosquito nets on the window frame...and it os full of mosquitos in summer. We woke up at 7:30 because of the loud noise some workers were doing in the hostel (saturday morning) and we complained..we recived free breakfast in compensation......

We arrived there at around 4PM and wanted to park our 6, 3 meters / 20 foot - RV (camping car – casa rodante) in their parking lot which is next to the hostel. The old lady refused us parking because she thought that we were going to open the gate at night. She had no glue about self-sufficient RV’s...

Double room with a private bathroom and TV was 60 soles per night. (I asked for a discount but they wouldn't give me one). I was given the room on the very top floor. It was very clean and spacious. There was a large double bed and a small single bed in the room. The bathroom was modern and clean....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Colonial house from the beginning of last century. It has a nice patio and garden. Some rooms have a beautiful view of the old pier Pimentel (12 Km of Chiclayo City) - where once sugar was exported via a train that reached the high seas. The home features skylights and still retains its old floor with oregon pine doors. 20% of the guesthouse has been refurbished with some modern architecture with wooden floor. This mansion was the summer home of former owners of the sugar plantations where a military government in 1968 will expropriate their lands and sugar factories (with the famous law "the land to the tiller" according to the government of those years ). Later collapsed the sugar industry. Currently there is no longer the train was brought from Europe. Even the old pier for tourist walks preserved. ... more   less
