There was quite a heavy winter strike as we headed for Masshad and... this was THE ONLY hotel willing to speak with us English on the phone and offering an accommodation. We've been given a 3-person room with no problem. But the room was a little letting down... the heating was very loud - we had to switch it off...

Clean lobby and public areas , pleasing and polite staffs & more important point is that it is near holy shrine. Breakfast is excellent but every day something is added or omitted. The rooms and beds are fine & it will be one of my choices of staying in Mashhad.

The hotel is situated in a very busy and religious part of the city. If you are going there as a pilgrim, it is ok but...

Very good hotel nearby Imam Reza shrine, the city's most important landmark. Nice rooms with plenty of light. Breakfast is excellent. I highly recommend it. Will stay there again on my next visit to Mashhad.

The location is perfect; you need to walk just 5 minutes to Imam Reza Shrine. The price is reasonable; we paid around EUR 50 for double room (bed & breakfast). Me and my wife did not wear wedding rings; we did not have any problem because of it and we had nice room with double bed. The room was very...

I and my girlfriend booked this hotel for two nights. Of course we knew that you cannot book a hotel with your girlfriend in Iran so we called the reception and we wanted to cancel, but she said oh if you want you can book two single rooms so you won’t have any problem. We accepted. we were expecting to...

Chances are, if you are visiting Mashad as a tourist, you are there to see the Imam Reza shrine. And so a hotel that is only a short stroll from the shrine would be a bonus. The Hotel Iran fits that bill nicely. And actually manages to do some other things quite well without ever making you think it is...
