I found myself in this place in September with a couple of hours to kill. Had a couple of beers and noticed that lots of people in the Bar were having pizzas from 'Cinatras', an Italian restaurant that occupies the other half of the pub. I decided to try a pizza and was not only amazed how cheap it was...

Fantastic staff...great food...good for a drink and perfect place to finish Hadrian's Wall walk. Felt welcome from the moment I stepped in the door and the folks at the Dorset Arms went above and beyond to ensure I had a good stay and helped with onward travel arrangements. Will stay there again and would recommend the Dorset Arms to everyone.

Having come down on an unplanned stay I found the Dorset Arms Hotel. The hotel sits in the middle of a housing estate and a 5 minute drive from a small shopping centre (handy when you have to buy clothes due to not planning an overnight stay). The room I had was a good size with all of the usual...

I have given this place 4 blobs, which I take to mean 'very good'. Is it 'very good'? By most objective standards, probably not; 3 blobs would probably be fair. However, it's a lot better than I expected, a lot better than it looks and, probably, a lot better than anything else on offer in Wallsend, and it has cheerful...

We stayed in the Dorset Arms because my son and I were visiting my husband in Walkergate Park Hospital. We needed somewhere comfortable and caring to stay and we certainly found that here. All of the staff are very helpful and nothing is too much. The owner even took us to hospital on the first morning so we could get...

Myself and two friends arrived, weary and footsore after just completing the last leg of our Hadrian's wall walk. We were booked into the Dorset Arms and from the moment we walked in we were made to feel so welcome. Stan and his team were very helpful, friendly and could not do enough to help us, we were made to...

Some of the rooms are above the kitchen and so get all the cooking smells. The room we got was poorly maintained, run down and in need of renovation. The TV didn't work and there was no Wi-Fi signal. The bathroom had a lot of mould growing in the shower. I cannot comment about the food as we did not...
