We have stayed at Le Clos several times now on our way from England to the south west of france. We can thoroughly recommend it as a base for the weary traveller or for those wishing to explore the Loire area. The rooms are really suites with plenty of space and comfortable sitting areas. The bathrooms are modern and sleek....

We stumbled across this B&B on Trip Advisor, like many others, but we're blown away by the hospitality of Manfred, the owner upon arrival. We were looking for a nice place to stop going from Paris to the Bordeaux region and this location fit the bill. We opted for the dinner prepared by Manfred, which was excellent (and included ingredients...

It was supposed to be a brief stopover on our way back to the UK, but found this lovely place within a beautiful city. Manfred is a great host and his homemade jam was superb! We missed his home-cooked meals but would definitely like to try next time. There are so many Chateaus and wineries to visit so you never...

We stayed here as part of our French-Itay Honeymoon and this was definitely one of our best decisions. The experience brought us to "French" hospitality at its best: 1) the host, Manfred, will make you feel at ease with his own made tasty apperitive and his super kind demeanor. He was also v kind to help call the dentists when...

Wanted a stopover for us and our two adult daughters en route and close to our destination and somewhere we could spend a day in a decent wine area. Also wanted somewhere we could have dinner without having to go searching (and driving) - a difficult ask on a Monday when many restaurants are closed. This was a very lucky...

We booked this B&B after reading trip advisor reviews. It didn't disappoint... The room we stayed in (Anne) was beautifully clean, well thought out with a certain personality, we loved it.. However the tour to the 'wine' cave was amazing, unexpectedly so...thank you to Manfred (& your lovely wife) for your hospitality and interesting topics of conversation.. We would highly...

We had a fantastic time staying with Manfred. The room was lovely, with a massive bathroom, very comfortable bed and beautiful old ceiling beams. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast (including the homemade jams), and had a wonderful evening with Manfred discovering the cave and tasting his homegrown produce (including a nettle soup starter!). The garden was full of pretty spring...

The spacious suite Eleanore at this great B&B were perfect for our weekend in the Loire with a 3 year old, and 2 dogs. Manfred is an excellent host, friendly, and knowledgeable about the region. We enjoyed his homemade aperitif and dinner on our last night, a memorable experience. He also makes the most fantastic jams with his garden produce...

From the location to the rooms to the food, this place is a gem! We were greeted by our friendly and knowledgable host, Manfred, on arrival and shown to a lovely series of rooms (sitting room, bedroom and bathroom). After unpacking we met with other guests in a series of caves under the main buildings to sample Manfred's aperitifs and...
