Let me start by saying that we are not B&B people and this visit validated our reasons why. The selection of lodging in this area is limited and we decided, after reading trip advisor reviews, to give B&B's another shot. It seems that so many proprietors of B&B's have traveled very little if at all because, if they had, they...

The grounds of this B&B are extensive with a small pond and loads of lovely gardens. Whilst having breakfast (which was good) we saw a coyote which had, unfortunately, killed one of the hens overnight ! The rooms are large and each has its own bathroom which is across a common hallway.

We stayed in room one with no step access through your own private entrance. The bathroom, while private, is not ensuite, but across the hall from the inside door of your room. Lights are left on at night so you can find your way. Breakfast is up a staircase with railing on one side if you have mobility issues. Outside...

We stayed here on the way back to Halifax from PEI. We visited the wonderful Sherbrooke Village and Beanis Cafe on the way and we had a great stay despite the ' IRISH' weather! Very clean property and the breakfast was excellent.

Although there aren't a lot of choices in Sherbrooke, we were very satisfied with our pick. Roslyn is a friendly and accommodating hostess and makes a delicious breakfast! The room (which easily accommodated a family of 4) was spacious and clean.

We booked a room at Roslin and Tim's home during our trip to see Nova Scotia. They are terrific hosts with a pair of spotless rooms for hire. Very clean, quiet and an excellent breakfast with friendly and accommodating hosts. The price is very reasonable and our bed was very comfortable. The property is absolutely beautiful. We would certainly recommend...

There's not a huge choice if you want B&B around here, and out of the few we used in eastern Canada this was bottom of our list. Very friendly reception by Roslyn, into a semi-basement bedroom which was clean but darkly decorated. The fully glazed door opened straight to the outside, but as it was a bedroom you often wanted...

We chose Birchill B & B due to its location as we were driving from the eastern side of the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton down to Lunenburg, about an hour's drive south of Halifax. We had a very comfortable room with private bathroom just outside our room in the corridor. As we needed two beds we were allocated the...

We enjoyed a large lovely clean room with all the amenities required for a pleasant sleep. Accommodations including the bed and bathroom were excellent. Everything was on ground level so very accessible from the parking lot. Roslyn was a lovely hostess who was very accommodating. The breakfast was excellent. We would recommend this facility to all traveling this route. L...

Perfect stop on our way from Halifax to Cape Breton! The Eastern shore drive is beautiful. Our room was very clean and comfortable and spacious. The bed was comfy! Our room had a separate entrance which was nice. The very spacious bathroom is down the hallway but private for us. We enjoyed visiting with Roslyn during breakfast. She gave us...
