My nights in this hotel were very good: nice people and great hospitality, the coffee is excellent and they brought me visiting their coffee farms where they produce Pacamara, Bourbon, Pacas and other coffee varieties
Spent a week here on a mission trip. Beautiful complex with beautiful flowers everywhere. Bed was a bit stiff but I slept well every night. The staff did a fantastic job taking care of us. Cannot comment on the food, since we did not eat off the menu.
Greeted by very friendly staff, the Cabanas are set in the grounds of the property and are surrounded by natural forest/jungle, off road secure parking right next door and the village of Apaneca is just across the road.
Poor administration, poor conditions of the rooms and not clean. Regular food. I will not go to this hotel again. The 50 bucks that I paid were too much for the service received. I will not recommend it to any family. The worst part the guardian was with an alcohol smell and a shotgun.
We've been to Las Cabanas for a lunch during a tour. We had a nice meal in a charming decor. The menu offers a great variety of meals and drinks. The service is friendly and fast enough. We enjoyed visiting the site while our orders were getting prepared. The view is absolutely great ! We had platters of shrimps ... Lots of shrimps! And we tried the ribs which were also really good. Our kids enjoyed the huge limonade. I whish I would have known this place before, I would then have booked a night in one of the nice villa. Bottom line, we had good time, we ate well! I sincerely reccomend this place.
they have nice either one or two beds cabins at an affordable price, the weather is the best! breakfast is included in the price of the cabin, also you can bring in your own food; at $40 the night is a round deal. The hotel is also close to two different towns with lots of restaurants.
Its a lovely place to stay with families. The food has a great local taste and the staff is friendly. The rooms are clean but they need better beds, tv and wifi. ( but it is rigt if you are looking for a place far from everyday rush ) The bathroom needs to be fixed. The place is right for the price.
Cute cabañas in various sizes situated in a lush garden on a hillside, with views through the greenery on the opposite slope. Some cabañas have a little terrace in front, made from tile shards in the style of Park Guell in Barcelona. In the evening we saw many fireflies from our terrace! The room is basic with quite rough finishing, but most important: the room is clean. Spacious bathroom with a shower that started with hot water, but after a few minutes it dropped to lukewarm.
The surroundings are really beautiful, the rooms are all in individual little houses wich are linked by rock paths going through the gardens. But the rooms have other guests than the ones paying to be there. Lots of ants and spiders crawling on the floor and walls... But at least they did not seem to be too interested in going in bed with us!
Everything was great about this place the first night. There was a conference there with a fair number of other people. The 2nd night we were alone and they closed the restaurant 2 hours early (at 5 pm) with 5 minutes notice. There is nowhere else nearby worth eating mid week and we did not have a car so we were not pleased. The restaurant is very nice atmosphere and food is good but we missed the sunset and had nothing to do all evening as the town is deads-ville mid week in the evening. We canceled our next night's stay as a result.
