Having seen Tommy Banks cook on TV and seen the praise from his peers my wife and I booked to stay onvernight and take his tasting menu before christmas 2016. The room or better described as small suite in a cottage next to the pub was superb. Beautifally presented and modern in an old world setting. We congratulate the family upon...

We came here after talking to Tommy on twitter and watching his success on Great British Menu and it was hands down the best meal I have ever eaten, everything from the amuse bouche to the petit four with coffee at the end Tommy and James make everyone feel welcome

We made a last minute booking for dinner. I drove so my partner had the accompanying wine, which I tried and can highly recommend! Entering into the restaurant is like going into a small country cottage, the open fire and relaxed atmosphere was nice, and the smoked eel and apple tart was served before we were shown to our seat....

On Tuesday, the 31st January myself, my son and two mates decided to have a day out visiting car showrooms and having two good meals as well. The evening meal was at the Black Swan, sadly it was dark so we never got to see any of the country surroundings. We parked up in the car park which is a...

This is the single best restaurant I have visited, all the staff (but especially Sam our sommelier for the evening) are very knowledgeable be it describing the food or indeed each wine course. Each course is a work of art in itself, and the carefully selected wine course matches each dish perfectly. Special mention must go to the music choices...

Since we were travelling from the midlands for Dinner at the Black Swan, we decided to stay overnight. The room was very good, really nice decorations, plenty of space, massive bathroom, proper coffee, fresh milk.... Everything you could expect. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, varied, and we really enjoyed it. I can only fault one thing, and it is...

Wow! What a fantastic feast we had. 13 courses of tasting menu ranging from single mouthful morsels to intricate main courses. The cooking on show here is fantastic. Some of the flavour combinations were staggering. I have nothing but praise. There was only one minor issue. The Langoustine course, needed a spoon with it (lol) as we couldn't get all...

Fabulous! At last! We have found a fantastic restaurant worthy of its Mitchelin Star. We had the lunch menu, which was outstanding. Each course packed in so much flavour, and it left you wanting more. I haven't stopped talking about the food since we got home! I love the relaxed atmosphere of the Black Swan and can't wait to go...

Went for lunch on Saturday for my birthday. The food was excellent, the venison melted in your mouth. Every course was amazing and the bread was something else, wish I could have bought some to take home. If I had to make a cricitism it would be no biscuit or chocolate with your coffee. The staff was very friendly too....

We stayed in the house opposite the The Black Swan where we were booked in for dinner. The room was beautifully and tastefully decorated with some lovely touches - the bottles of water and fresh milk in the fridge. Lovely bath and shower and the whole space warm and inviting. The view from the toilet was quite magnificent! A couple...
