Weekend stay. Really impressed with staff and overall comfort levels. Bar has many locals, all of whom helped provide a good atmosphere. Just six bedrooms and perhaps this helped the staff to interact so well with all the guests.

Excellent from start to finish. Arrived late for a one night stay and received a warm welcome. The staff member immediately noticed we had a table booked very shortly and offered to push this back which was most helpful. At the bar, staff were knowledgeable about drinks and let us tell them when we were ready to eat in th...

This is a gem of a place, not the cheapest in the area but not over priced either. We stayed for one night whist travelling on business and were very impressed. The attention to detail and the quality of the fixtures and fittings are all good. Friendly and informed staff completed the experience. We particularly like the three open fires...

Fell upon the Oak Tree by chance whilst driving through the lovely countryside, We both had soup and sandwich with a small portions of chips included. We did however indulge in some rather fine Onion rings (Yummy). We both really enjoyed our lunch and left feeling satisfied and cheery. The staff were all very pleasant and nothing seemed too much...

Excellent service, lunch and drinks for 4 - couldn't fault the friendly staff or cooking, presentation, ambience - eg there were log fires on a cold and misty January so it was nice and warm when we sat down. Lovely - been many times and will be back again!

This is my forth visit and as ever it never fails to please. There has been a couple of noticeable "cost cutting" moves - make your own toast, sliced white bread at breakfast and no home made granola. It could have been due to it being the Christmas holiday period. Overall very comfortable, cozy and warm with excellent food served...

Stayed in the Oak room, it had a lovely king size bed and wine glass chandelier. Had a great meal (excellent vegetarian options) and breakfast was included in the cost of the room. Had a full veggie breakfast and there was even all the ingredients needed to make your own boody marys with the continental breakfast and juices, top marks!

The hotel is superb, very plush beds and the bathroom was incredible (Especially the Jacuzzi bath) genuinely cant fault it. the only gripe we had was the lack of vegetarian dishes on the menu in the restaurant. Beware, the menu on their website is a sample menu and may not be the one you seen in the restaurant. However i...
