This place is beautiful, great staff, tons of helpful advice of what to do in minca and a lovely set up. However, we were not backpackers so a few things to note. We have the best room, the mirador, however it gets pretty warm up there and it can be noisy when people come back late. No complaints since it...

We stayed three nights at Casa Loma. I would recommend this place for budget travelers, particularly if you like connecting to young fellow backpackers. The atmosphere is very communal and mellow, probably helped by the conscious decision to not have WiFi. The staff is very helpful and friendly. This being a budget place, it is simple with open huts, hammocks...

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Loma! The staff there are all super friendly and helpful. Other backpackers were also lovely. The food is fantastic. Views are breathtaking. We also loved the vibe of the place in general-- laid back and beautifully decorated. We hope to go back!

Had a private treehouse room and it was wonderful! Had everything I needed, and on top of that an amazing view! Had a bug net, a fan above, and a separate bathroom. The hike up makes the views that much better! Keep going, its worth the work :) THey also set me up on a great tour to a cocoa...

Stayed for three nights - it was exactly the reason we wanted to go to Minca. Yes, it's a 5 min steppy hill walk (welcome to minca) but it's well worth it (if you have mobility difficulties, then maybe trying to carry your luggage will be tricky). The staff were helpful and friendly, and the food tasty! Cold showers are...

Seeing in Valentines Day in the Casa Luna room that looks out over the stunning Sierra Nevada, with it's own private view of the already amazing Casa Loma sunset...just wow. Love the communal dinner. Love the lack of wifi. A MUST stay in Minca :-)

It's a great place full of love and peace. It has that hostel vibe that I love in which you manage to share with people from all over the world. The perfect place to disconnect from everything (no Wi-Fi and that's alright). With amazing views and one of the best sunsets I've ever seen. They offer yoga classes, restaurant and...

We followed up our stay at Casa Loma with La Candelaria Finca, which has the most incredible scenery but is much further outside of town, so the view from Casa Loma was a little overshadowed for us, although the view and sunset are still great at Casa Loma! The vibe felt pretty much as expected-- a chill backpacker's dwelling. I...

Nice location however rooms and surrounding are getting run down. Very high turnover of guests so bathrooms, showers, lockers etc need an update. Staff aren't the friendliest. Always felt like I was bugging them when I had questions. No wifi, which is nice unless you need to get things done (cafes in town have wifi though) Food is good -...

We had a lovely stay at casa Loma. Quite a climb but all worth it. We had one night in a little house with amazing view over Santa Martha and one night in Casa del Sol. A great introduction class to Yoga too. Our compliments for the staff, we were happy with your kind support and great breakfast. We can...
