How can I describe our stay here-warm, welcoming, friendly, unique, lovely--all of that really & so much more. Our ensuite room in this converted chapel (# 5) was gorgeous, spacious & spotless-with plenty of closet & dresser space & a large roomy shower & tub. A small fridge was convenient for fresh milk & a variety of coffees, teas &...

I stayed in Soar Chapel in October 2014, when travelling to a family wedding reception in Beaufort. The venue is a stunning building, one that as a child I remember as being the Chapel. It is located within easy distance not only of Ebbw Vale, but also Cardiff is under 45mins away by car, Brecon is within easy driving distance,...

I was greeted with a very warm welcome from the moment I stepped over the door to the moment I left. The breakfast is lovely and the land lady goes out of her way to make sure everything is to your liking. Her daughter dealt with the payment and was both professional and very courteous. This was my first time...

We had booked two nights at this accommodation, but only stayed for one night (but had to pay for two!). There was no ensuite, the bedroom looked nice, but the beds creaked and moved everytime you moved position and it was hot and airless.

Stayed one night in room 4 on the first floor. This is a converted Chapel which has been tastefully done and at some considerable cost. The room was spacious and well equipped, you could use their private area as a lounge and the breakfast was excellent silver service. The owners were very helpful and made you feel wanted. There is...

We visited Soar Chapel Guest House for a one night stay in July 2014. The place is wonderful, and we would definitely visit again. The guest house is an old chapel which has been tastefully converted to a very high standard. The room we stayed in was on the ground floor and again everything was to a high standard, one...

We stayed here last weekend to see the cycling in nearby Abergavenny. It was such a lovely place that I'm sure we'll be back. The welcome was warm & friendly, the guest lounge was brilliant and architecturally beautiful. The family room (#4) was a good size, clean with some nice touches. It was a red hot night so they brought...

We have recently stayed at Soar Chapel, in the family room with two kids. The room itself was beautiful and spacious, comfy beds, and a large en-suite, with attention to detail we are not accustomed to see. But forget the lovely house, the family, and especially Leslie, welcomed us with great warmth, and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Leslie...

We stayed at the Soar Chapel recently in one of the 2 bedroom apartments with our 2 Newfoundland Dogs. From our arrival (hot Welsh Cakes) to our departure we were very well treated by Lesley & her freindly staff & family. The apartment was ideal with everything you need & having wooden/tile floors it was easy to clean as our...

My wife was returning from a few days away to Abergavenny train station. In close proximity (approx. 7 miles) it seemed a good opportunity to stay at Soar Chapel Guest House (especially as my wife lived in Beaufort as a girl and had attended the chapel as well). We were not disappointed by our choice. She had travelled in a...
