Very disappointed with this place, rude staff at reception!!! Gave us a voucher for our tea, didn't tell us to book so we asked to book she then booked us in for 8.30 without telling us where we would be eating at!!!! Came down at 8.15 for the table, expecting to be sat down around 8.30ish..didn't get seated till 9pm!!!!...

Prebooked 5 rooms in 2015 for August 2016. Was offered the original booking price held untill August. We had a party of 9 arriving from France,Autralia, London, Manchester and Preston for a 3 day family reunion. Everyone enjoyed them selves and the food. I was not surprised as I have stayed there often over the years.

My husband and I stayed recently we booked ages ago as a treat to ourselves to get away for a peaceful, relaxing night. Sadly, this was not to be, as our neighbours in the next room could be heard talking, using the jacuzzi bath, going outside for a smoke (squeaking door and loud coughing, every 20 minutes or so) etc...

Had a fantastic weekend at guys. Such a great place great food great atmosphere. One of my favourite places . Real log fires which gives a great homely feeling. The rooms are on par with a premier inn I would say and that is just a standard room. I have stayed in the executive room before and they are superb....

Came here for a family party on xmas eve & I just can't see what all the hype is about. Many of the party were not happy with there meals and we all agree it's not as good as it used to be. The garlic bread was nice to be fair but the pizza was hard and not good.

Visited New Year's Eve and had a great night. They hadn't pushed up there prices from normal which was first class. Atmosphere was busy but easy going. Staff were great and very helpful. One slight complaint was the Murphys Pie wasn't up to usual very high standard- it was big but the meat was fatty and stringy...I am sure it...
