I really enjoyed my recent stay at Palmview resort and would love to come back again if I should ever return to Khao Sok. The resort itself is a little further away from the main road than some of the other places, just a short ten minute walk but this does mean it's a little more peaceful, with only the sounds of the jungle around you. Just remember to bring a torch as the path put of the camp is not well lit at night. We stayed in a superior cottage and although we had an issue with our room at first this was quickly resolved by staff. We found the room very spacious with a nice bathroom and a lovely terrace to sit and enjoy the evening. The hotel restaurant was good and had a decent selection of food at reasonable prices. Overall I would definitely recommend.

Although I only stayed one night in one of the jungle bungalows, I definitely think the accommodation is good value for the price you pay. Location wise they are a short walk away from the main street (through a short cut) and around 1km if you take the main street (recommended during the evening). The rooms are simple but equipped with a good bed, mosquito net, fan, a decent shower as well as two water bottles upon arrival. I initially booked a one day tour to Khao Sok National Park since the weather predictions weren’t all that great but then I decided to switch very last minute and they were super accommodating and willing to help. When I came back from my overnight trip to the national park and had to leave again in the next hour by minivan (also booked through them for a very reasonable price) I was even able to take a quick shower on their property. In addition to this they also provide drinks and food between 7.00 AM and 8.00 PM (they even have an actual coffee machine). Most of the menu contains pork or chicken but can be made vegetarian, personally I only missed some fish/shrimp on it.

Chose the Palmview and glad we did. There is a simple short cut through to the village less than a 5 minute walk (take a head torch if you plan on staying out after dark) We stayed in bungalow 14 which was large had a great terrace and decent bathroom. Organised the 2 day 1 night tour which was breathtaking - the accommodation on the lake is very basic but it gets you up in the morning to watch the sunrise and hear the jungle wake up. Khao Sok itself is a lovely little village with some decent bars and restaurants all well priced - we loved the Jumanji Bar - down the village street and turn left - 100 yards on the left. - try the Khao Sok Kamikaze cocktail !!. The owner Kong is a very friendly guy and wouldn't let us leave with a hug - all in all nice basic but character full accommodation and a great location. Plus it was very cheap - they obviously make their money from the tours and you can't go there without seeing the lake - its breathtaking. Highly Recommend Palm View and if we went back to Khao Sok we would definitely stay again.

Simple bungalows equipped with mosquito nets. Nice breakfast, but extra paid. Poor choice of extra trips in the reception, all focused around the lake and jungle trek. Quick walk to the center but difficult at night as it's a completely dark path.

The resort was as expected - nothing wrong with that. The kayak tour organized by Palmview was very dangerous. Not so much the tour, but the kayaks. They had been cleaned with a clot with an acid-like substance on it. As a result, my wify, kids and myself got terrible skin burn. Offcourse I sent an email to the resort to warn them about this, so they could clean the kayaks and this would not happen to other guests. The resort owner did not have the decency to reply to my email.
