We did find this little gem on line and we were very pleased when we arrived. Staff was friendly, English speaking and VERY helpful. They have a very nice pool and the rooms have A.C. and all you'll need for your stay like fridge, t.v., towels and lots of local restaurants only a few steps away. The staff helped us set up our excursions for the next day. Only thing I feel I have to say is DO NOT eat at the restaurant next door even if they offer you a discount coupon, I do feel bad saying that, we all got sick. Also the food was not close to any of the pictures. So may other place to choose from to eat. We stayed 3 nights.

We arrived and were then told we had to pay 500Baht key deposit each, we’ve stayed in many hotels all over Thailand and this hasn’t happened before. There is also a 3% charge on using your card, so make sure you have cash if you want to pay for anything here! They can organise you any tour you like and taxi/bus to anywhere else and you pay them. However, to enter the park by yourselves there is a charge 300baht per adult and 150 baht per child and within a few hundred metres of entering the park you’ll find the monkeys, you don’t need to pay a tour guide for this. If you want to go further in the park or if you want to stay in there over night then a tour guide is needed. The hotel swimming pool is lovely, kids pool too, there is a games room section and there are a couple of hammocks around as well. They are expanding the resort building more huts so expect a bit of noise disturbance from builders during the day. We have seen a few creatures around this resort, the biggest grasshopper I’ve ever seen jumped into my face (screamed with shock ha!) a chipmunk, a squirrel, a few birds, frogs, and even a very large quite scary Thai Huntsman Spider!! You can rent bicycles and mopeds too. We had breakfast included and the hot chocolate is amazing! The omelette is ok too. Please bare in mind that the food is different in each province and the pad Thai here isn’t the big fat noodles that it might be elsewhere. They also use a lot of pineapple in their meals.

Attempted to scam our family at check out by placing towels in our rooms whilst we were bring bags to the reception; taking a picture (whilst our stuff was still in the room), taking away towels and claiming we had stolen them - proceeded in asking us 200 baht for it. Shameful. On the positive side, when we involved the police we were listened too and taken seriously (by the police). Aside from that, bad experience from the start: Unfriendly reception mainly because it was rushed and we felt that we weren’t really being listened too. However when the manager took over it did appease the situation and we felt we were handled appropriately. The hotel is very basic with no place to put stuff and a very small bathroom in the biggest bungalow. Advertised internet didn’t reach our bungalow. Despite no disturb sign they woke us and our kids up in the morning whilst window was open and you could peak inside if you’d go up to the porch which is what they did. It became evident when they attempted to scam us that there’s no regard for privacy and they’ll go as far as infringing your privacy to take some pictures to attempt to get money from you. Also: No mosquito nets; Advertised as non smoking but people were smoking on porches which inevitably affected neighbouring bungalows. The pool was green and there’s no room cleaning unless you ask. All in all a very unpleasant experience - look further, there are better options for this price. E.g. Khao Sok Riverfront Resort and the cafe Rafflesia next to it
