A big shout out to Lisa and staff at the hotel- a gorgeous view from our room, plenty of aroha and service- plus acted quickly during a tsunami emergency to get all guests to a higher hill for safety. Went beyond expectations to also bring plenty of Kai ( food) for everyone during the alert. Dinners were good with many options to choose from- would definitely go back for another stay. Cheers!
We loved our first night stay, service with a smile from when we opened the door and great rooms - kitchen, laundry and heaps of elbow room with a small deck looking out over the pool and the ocean. Full bar and restaurant service is appreciated, as was the spa and pool after a long day in the heat riding from East Cape. Having the general store on site was a bonus, allowing us to stock up on some essentials for the days ahead riding. Secure storage for our bikes was appreciated and then to top it off the team were great sorting some clothing that we left behind and getting it in the post to us.
My partner and I stopped here as recommended by our air b&b hosts in Tauranga and we were very happy with what we got, service was friendly and fast, And an amazing view up the coast. We got an open steak sandwich and a chicken burger for lunch and were both great!
The room was tidy and comfortable. The carpet certainly needs replacing but room had a good view. The restaurant was disappointing. The food was not up to standard which made us decide not to risk having breakfast.
Picturesque place spotlessly clean very well managed nothing is to much trouble the staff are lovely. Food is good you can self cater if you wish. Shop on the property to buy most things. Recommend this resort if you are looking for a relaxing time away
