We went for the weekend! The views were lovely and its nice and quiet! Being able to drive straight on to the pitches is handy with set up and take down! The fires that you can hire are also brilliant! they last all night and will even cook a few burgers! the facilities are always nice and clean too! The...

Beautiful location, excellent facilities and such welcoming and helpful hosts. So helpful that you can drive your car straight into the site - makes things much easier when setting up/disassembling. Can't wait to visit again!

We've been to the campsite at Shallow Grange on several occasions. We always go for a pitch with Electric Hook Up. The site is clean and well kept. You pay £1 for a card for the meter on the ECU board.Grass pitches are well laid out and the ground is soft for pegging. Pitches are large and will accommodate a...

Lovely site. Minimal traffic and plane noise offset by lovely setting with sheep. Great flat pitches. Clean toilet / showers and helpful owners. Odd pricing system with buying cards for metered electricity. Slight overuse of laminated notices which seem more impersonal and less friendly than the owners were when we met. Loved the fire pit idea

Called mid week and a one night stay at the weekend with electric hook up was no bother. Marylin & Edward are friendly and helpful, the campsite is well tended, basic with very clean facilities and perfect for exploring the Dales. The pitches in the field we were in were perfectly level so no worry about rolling. We really enjoyed...

We last visited Shallow grange 7 years ago and on our return we were not disappointed. Camping in the lower field we were treated to superb views. The toilet block was spotless, being cleaned at least twice per day, the field was immaculate and the cost at £16 per night it was very fairly priced. We only booked the night...

We had yet another delightful stay at Shallow Grange, the owners are lovely and extremely helpful, the site is clean and has plenty of facilities. It was a little quiet for the bank holiday week due to the weather, but it was lovely having most the of field to ourselves. Its safe for kids to run around on the field,...

“Take a decent tent! The wind and rain whip across those fields....”

“If you are planning a visit during the Summer or over a 'hot weekend' like we've just had - make sure to phone a head and book. We would also recommend the back field - quieter (further away from the sheep and caravans) and fantastic views over the valley!”
  • Amazing sunset views
  • Our very own front row seat to a beautiful sunset
  • View from our tent in the rear field
