This is the best accommodation you're going to get in Senanga, that said...it isn't great. The property is set in a beautiful location overlooking the river, the staff are all pleasant and kind however the lodge is poorly managed and in dire need of renovation. The chalets are wonderful, but don't seem to be cleaned very well...i found 2 dead...

We had booked the campsites at Senanga for a one night stopover on our way back from Liuwa Plains. What a disappointment... The so called campsite was just a piece of lawn at the river end of the property, but was at quite an angle (we slid off our stretchers during the night). The water supply in the ablutions was...

I travel a lot in Africa and don't mind roughing it. The accomodation is a little run down, mattresses worn, linen questionable (use a sleeping bag), there is not always water, shower doesn't always work. There is a bar area at the bottom, close to the river and camping area that can be quite noisy. Whilst the Manager, Mr Zulu,...

Senanga is a "sleepy town.." so dont expect a great deal. I stayed here for 3 nights in March and quite liked it. I gave it a four relative only to some other places available in Zambia.. Senanga Safari Lodge is not what it could be.... however. It was clean, chalets nice enough and the views great. Its perfect for...

We had to stay in Senanga for a couple of nights in August due to the ferry being broken. We stayed one night in the cottages, it wasn't the nicest place to stay and not the cleanest, but not too bad. There was a TV in the room. It was quite expensive for what you get, but the views onto...

This place has an ideal location on the banks of the river. The hotel overlooks the floodplains and sunsets can be spectacular, especially down by the waters edge, sitting with a beer in your hand from the waterfront bar. At the weekend it is a lively hangout for locals, with music, but it doesn't go on late and is never...

“Don't stay anywhere near the bottom where the bar is as its noisy. There are family rooms that I understand are quite cheap. Go for a chalet at the top of the hotel where it is quieter. Before unpacking, make sure you have water and shower works. Don't take a room with a bath as water pressure not good.”
