Wonderful place to visit and decompress for a night or two. Stayed here while visiting family in the environs outside of Bologna. It is a very, very low key place, but if you are looking for Italian countryside views from the hills, peace and quiet coupled with a very friendly staff, this a must see. The rooms are spartan, but comfortable and complete with all the necessary amenities. They serve a very filling breakfast in the morning with home cooked eggs and baked goods. There was no dinner service on the property, but they directed us to a nice little pizzeria in a hotel in the next town over and we had some excellent take out. Very, very good value bed and breakfast; priced right, clean, friendly, peaceful. Highly recommend.
Spent four fantastic nights here last week. The views alone would get 5 stars but Valeria is a brilliant host with great knowledge and information on the local area, restaurants etc. The breakfasts were brilliant with homemade cake as an added bonus. Will definitely be back
We love this place and it is very peaceful place. We stayed last year and wanted to take our son with us this year. Valeria is a terrific host and has been very helpful to us. Last year, we stayed for several days and Valeria assisted in getting information regarding my grandmother who was born in Castel D'Aiano in 1890. Valeria also suggested many things for us to see when we were there last year, including an outstanding balsamic vinegar tour. This year, I wanted to obtain a copy of my grandmother’s baptismal record and Valeria again helped us in this endeavor. The food here is incredibly delicious! Valeria gets local ingredients and makes outstanding meals at the facility. Our son said it was the best pasta he had ever eaten, and I think the local yogurt she has for breakfast is the best I have ever had. This year we had a large room upstairs and last year we had the garden room. Both rooms were excellent. Unfortunately, we could not stay as many days as we wished. We hope to return in the future.…
We loved this place. The room was lovely, the views were splendid and the meals were superb. We were there on a quest for family records, and Valeria was most helpful in guiding us through the local bureaucracy, We would certainly go back again, and would love to take our son.
Fantastic place in the beautiful hills south of Bologna. Ideal to switch off completely from daily stress routine. Quiet and peaceful in any regard. It's obvoius that the building has been renovated with love to detail and passion to make it such a little treasure. The host, Valeria, is gorgeous, extremely friendly and very helpful. The renovated rooms in the rather historic, rural building are comfortable, very clean and equipped with new bath rooms. Don't expect a huge "mainstream" hotel breakfast buffet. Valeria serves some local specialties and fresh eggs from the chicken running completely free around in the vicinity of the building. We enjoyed the simple but good breakfast. We are sure we will go there again when we need to calm down from our daily routine.
