After travelling to several other nice hotels on Greek mainland and islands, this place struck us as the nicest and most memorable. The apartments are beautifully restored in a lovely location, where we were well taken care of every day by Jenny and the co-owner, Rula. More than any other place we stayed, we felt here that we were in...

We spent a week in one of the Kamares apartments on a holiday organised with Inntravel. The apartments have been lovingly restored from old Cretan buildings by our host Kostas and his family. Our apartment was on two levels with a large verandah looking out to the mountains and the coast. On arrival we found a generous collection of food...

A beautiful property lovingly restored by Kostas. Each apartment and house has beauty and character. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, Jenny looked after us very well, providing us with fresh fruit and vegetables from their own garden and orchard, We had a fabulous week enjoying the wonderful breakfasts and 2 evening meals. A gastronomic delight. A car is...

After spending a couple of days in bustling Chania, we were ready for a few days in the country. Having found Kamares by accident, we had no preconceived ideas, but were not prepared for the feast of the senses that awaited us. This amazing historic property set in tiny Maheri village at the foot of the White Mountains, has been...

We stayed here for a week, and we couldn't have been made more welcome. Lovely breakfasts every day, lots of tips from Jeny on where there are nice places to visit and eat at. It was beautifully quiet with lovely views over the countryside to the sea in the distance, and yet we weren't very far from Chania (about 50...

You can enjoy the extraordinary greek breakfast with food which are produced in the local area. Also, one of the Kamares advantages is the convenience to many Crete sightseeing. I recommend Kamares...

Surrounding by fruit trees with amazing views and whilst in a rural, peaceful location, not too far away from the beach, eateries, shops etc but you will need a car. If you want to escarpé from the touristy hotels and want to discover and experience authentic and natural Crête and also meet its people, this is the place. Kostas who was a blacksmith by profession, has been in a hamlet for the last 20 years restoring and converting traditional Cretan houses into functional and pretty appartments/houses, all immaculately clean. Good...

We stayed at the Kamares apartments at Maheri village, Crete, recently for a week. It's about a 45 minute drive from Chania airport. It was a fairly late booking and we were slightly concerned that the TripAdvisor trail had gone cold after some correspondence a few years ago. We needn't have worried. There are 5 apartments created out of some...
